Hi Peter, I try not to think too much about it just in case I wouldn't be able to make it. I'm definitely going to Scotland this summer but I don't know yet if my parents will let me go to the concert. At the beginning, they thought Hayley was a rock star or something similar and assumed there were only crazy young fans drinking alcohol and such. Errr.... That's their idea of a concert. Right, Stephany, and I am choosing my words carefully so as not to give the wrong impression, but you can tell your parents, from something of an old Hayley stager who is old by half a century plus that the average Hayley audience (disappointingly in my view as I wish there were a stronger teen element) consists of elderly people close to being OAPs (Old Age Pensioners), parents with young children, the young children themselves and some young teens all of whom are totally fascinated with her and who are the most pleasant people with whom to converse as complete strangers you would wish, except for the fact THAT BEING COMPLETE STRANGERS they somehow don't seem to be strangers, but people you have met before, if only once or twice because of the Hayley Wow denominating factor. Why not print this out and wave it under your father's nose. Andrew might be able to offer assurances about trains from where to where in terms of the Scottish travelling public to further add reassurances. Peter S.

Hi Stephany, FYI Dunkeld is 12.85 miles from Perth... Since you won't be travelling by car- the easiest way for you to travel from Edinburgh to Dunkeld would indeed be by train. I'll see if I can source a train timetable for you. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAndrew

Hi Andrew, Thanks a lot for the details. I didn't realize Dunkeld was that close to Perth. We will quickly book our air plane tickets because prices are rising fast particularly for Edinburgh - I'm guessing there are a lot of events organized in August there. I'll also wait for more details and confirmation of Hayley's participation to the concert before preparing my trip to Dunkeld. Best wishes, Stephany

Hi all, Been lots on at the work recently so not had too much time to myself lately... Edinburgh does indeed have lots on in August Stephany, as the Edinburgh Festival runs throughout most of that month up until the 2nd of September, which means it's definitely worth booking early! Looking forward to hopefully being able to welcome some fellow Hayley fans to Scotland! Cheers David

What a disappointement for you, Stephany. What happened, they han't realised there was a festival on and don't like the crowds, or had difficulties in booking hotels? Peter S.

Hi Peter, My mother told me that many hotels in Edinburgh were already fully booked in August because of many Festivals and events (Film Festival, Military Tatoo...) occuring there. All the remaining hotels were too expensive. So my parents picked Ireland instead. It's OK, I'll survive I noticed Hayley is spoiling the UK by giving many concerts there so hopefully when I am in Manchester, I won't miss those performances. I'll be working in a bank this summer so I'm already sparing money for those "Hayley-trips" Best wishes, Stephany

It's OK, I'll survive I noticed Hayley is spoiling the UK by giving many concerts there ... Hmm....I've also noticed this, and all I have to say is, "GRRR" You guys go and get a country boy all "Hayley-fied" (Hayley--mystified--thoroughly impressed--wowed, all mixed up in one word), just in time for her to leave the States and go elsewhere! I don't know what "irks" me more....the fact that you guys will be enjoying her more while I'm still dreaming, or the fact that I still am completely "Hayleywowed" and kinda glad for ya'll ("You all" for those non-Southerners in our midst). OOOH! Partially in jest, partially in love, Eric Nothing personal to you, Stephany, you're not exactly a "UK" guy person yet. But OH When You Are! :2fun:
