Hi Martin, Mark and everyone! I was very impressed with the theatre box office when booking for the December concert. It seemed as though everyone on the premises was answering 'phones. The girl I spoke to took my name and number and promised that someone would call me back within 15 minutes. I was apprehensive about waiting to be called but I was and had my ticket booked before 1030! If in doubt you can always join me in the queue at the box office. I plan to be there by 9am Best wishes Grant

I have received the following message via the HWI Visitor Feedback facility from Peter Lawley: Roger Hi Roger and all This message puzzles me Agreed, when I spoke to Peter Lawley he did say a number of people had asked to be advised when tickets go on sale and that there was a reserve list BUT I spoke to the theatre immediately after he told me this and tried to reserve tickets. I was told it would not be possible to secure tickets until May 1st. I will ring again in the morning to find out if this has changed. Grant

Hi all
I presume what they mean by reserve list is a number of SEATS marker "Reserved" for church members, officials, friends etc. There may not be tickets issued for these seats at all.
As it is quite an informal affair, I guess this is how things would be done.

Hi Grant, et al Ive just rang the box office and they are adamant that there is no reserve list there and that they are under strict instructions from the Church not to sell tickets until 10am on the 1st May. so I am now very confused! very frustrated!!!! Can anyone help? Has anyone else managed to reserve tickets and if so, HOW? Stuart

It sounds as though you have to appear to be "In the know" before the theatre will reveal that there is a reserve list!! The approach I used was along these lines:- "I am advised by the vicar at St George's, Peter Lawley, that there is a reserve list for Hayley's concert on 16th June" The lady I spoke to advised she had not been at work for a few days but I heard her thumbing through some papers and she did sound surprised when she found it. Incidentally, this list is simply to reserve tickets for when they go on sale not to actually buy them. I think BE PERSISTENT is the key Grant

Hi Grant It appears that the only list they have is a list of names of people who want Peter Lawley to reserve tichets for them and he is getting those tickets this afternoon to pass on to them. They remain adamant that there is no reserve list. Stuart

Hi Grant & Stuart After Grants post this morning (thanks Grant), I rang the box office ( it was engaged for 20 minutes ) and simply said that I understood there was a reserve list for the concert and could I be added to it. I spoke to a lady called Jane, who simply took my name and telephone number - job done - I hope Perhaps it depends who you speak to Best wishes Mark.

I have just spoken to Jane to try and sort out this confusion. There IS a reserve list, but there are only 6 names on it! If that includes you and I Mark, then the substantial list was made up of 4 people. I was told by Jane that the tickets for Lenny Henry also go on sale on Tuesday, so they will be VERY busy and will likely not ring until later on when the rush dies down. She did suggest that I still ring to book when the box office opens, so I probably will. Jane also says that Peter Lawley will have 100 tickets for sale BY THIS EVENING. They may only be for parishioners, but I may give him a call anyway. (This may be his substantial reserve list) One way or another WE WILL GET TICKETS!! Grant
