This is great news. Your report has definitely wetted my appetite so I'll be there. Any idea when tickets will be on sale?
Hayley must have enjoyed herself to re-book so quickly.

Sorry to disappoint Peter, but it was Nicky Spence who sang Maria - I think Hayley would make a fantastic job of it though!! Regarding the venue, I got the impression that the vicar is "a fan" and that he simply contacted Bedlam and suggested she come to Telford "as she had been so popular in Shrewsbury" Management obviously said yes! Hi all
Following the varied comments on another thread about church venues v traditional, I must say last Saturdays concert at Telford has confirmed my own feelings about concerts in churches. This is a particularly comfortable church (not the pews though) and had a really cosy intimate feel to it. Hayley appears to be so relaxed in this type of environment and I think at her best in terms of dealing with people , combined with a managable number. I would commend next years concert to any of you who are able to go.

Hello Peter I am sure Roger will be able to give a more informed response but remembering that tickets for the last event here only went on sale weeks before the date then I suspect it will be several months before we hear. Hi Peter and Martin, Please be aware that the I am no more likely to know when tickets are available for any specific concert than anybody else. It is certainly not the kind of information that is fed to us by Bedlam Management. HWI's role, whenever possible, is to publish where and when the events are to take place. More than that, I regret, we are unable to do.  Roger |

The vicar at St George's indicated that booking for this concert would be the same as last December's, via Oakengates Theatre.
I will give them a call and see what I can find out.

Hi everyone! Spoke to Oakengate Theatre box office yesterday. They do not currently have any idea when tickets will go on sale. From the way the lady spoke it could be next week or next May!! I'm guessing, however, that whatever date they DO go on sale, it will be a Monday, so regular phone calls on a Friday should elicit the required information in time to order. Anyone feel like taking turns with me to keep this one on the boil? Incidentally, the telephone number has changed to 01952-382382. Alternatively we could keep trying the link to the web site that Richard posted. Grant |
