Hi Thomas, Just when I thought there was nothing to add to describe this unforgettable event, you amaze me with your utterly interesting report!! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Glad to hear Hayley's German is not rusty at all...she'll have time to practice if she spends her Christmas holidays with Sophie in your country! Lots of love, Stephany

Hello Tim! It was great that you went to see Hayley at Telford. Hope you had an enjoyable flight each way. Hayley seemed know about your camera. I remember from meeting you at Hayley's concert in Easton, PA that we had the same exact camera! Too bad that Hayley isn't going to be in the states as it looks now. I'd give $ to see a performance like this. Thanks for keeping Pennsylvania Hayley Proud! Joe Wow... really great photos and reports here... thanks all. The part about Hayley not being in the US anytime soon makes me a bit sad... well at least you folks in the UK get all the enjoyment Hayley must have an amazing memory! best, Peter T. PS: The mention of exchange schools made me wonder if Sophie will be going to Black Forest Academy... probably not, but best guess

Hello everyone
This is my last offering for Telford, but first, a story!
So OK, I think everyone on this forum now knows that Hayley is partial to the odd bar of dark, organic chocolate and, just lately, we've discovered that Green and Blacks is her favorite!
Now before Cardiff, my local supplier let me down and I had to settle for an alternative. So as not to fall into the same trap twice, I made sure I had some of 'the propper stuff' in the fridge well in advance of the Telford concert.
So, on Thursday, I had a visit from a friend who just happened to notice this bar of chocolate in the fridge. Horror of horrors!! She suggested we open it!! So I had to explain, pointing to the poster on the opposite wall "Ohh No!! It's for Hayley!!" Do you know what? She didn't believe me!
So after the concert I recountered the story to Hayley who put on her best "How dare she!!" expression and I asked her if she would provide proof by posing with said bar of chocolate.
Below are the results.Perhaps I should send one of them to Green & Blacks
"By appointment to Her Majesty err Hayley Westenra
That's all folks!!
Grant

Hi Grant, Wonderful stories, This concert has been a wonderful event for you obviously covering several days, and something you will remember for the rest of your life.. I understand now why the old model Frigidaire had a locking device on the door. comet

POLICE NEWSFLASH ! Have you seen this object? It was last seen in Telford on Saturday night but we have been reliably informed that it never reached London in one piece. All calls will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Martin

You will see one photo with a suprise guest who I suspect never made it back to London last night. Martin Hi Martin, I suppose the guest artist you were refering to in your earlier report was the chocolate bar....very nice!! Stephany

Hello Grant! Now I understand what you meant about the surprise guest not making it back to London. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI think the HWI Forum should be sponsored by Green & Black's. Your pictures beat Google Ads hands down! There's no doubt, green and black are Hayley's favourite colours, at least for chocolate! Best Wishes, Richard

Steve, I notice in one of your photos Fiona had kicked her shoes off. Does that mean she danced around the stage like she has in the past ?

Your #115 post on the Shropshire Sar Stephany is a wonderful compliment to Hayley's crowd drawing capacity. I had no idea they could fit in 4,000 any way but these large screeens cost some money. To be confident they wll draw 1,000 more is a wonderful statement of confidence in her. It would be interesting to know how often an artiste draws this attention. Peter S.

... During the interval, some of us went off in search of toilets ( I told you I would fill in some of the details) which were in the community centre building next door, quite a trek through the churchyard is it happens! Just as we arrived, who should we bump into but Hayley herself, followed closely by the vicar, who had obviously taken on the duty of escort ! “Hey Guys” she called out as we past each other, much to the delight of some of the audience who were with us whom I heard comment “ you don't expect to meet the star of the show in the toilets do you”. Hi Mark, superb additonal material. Meeting Hayley anywhere in any circumstances will always be a delight but I do hope HWI don't gain a reputation for meeting her in the toilets! Peter S.

Steve's No 150 post--photos with captions. Fiona looks coy as Hayley tells the audience that Fiona has now settled down in London with her Music Director Ian Tilley. Here is a classic example of the responsibility, semsititvity and consideration that HWI expresses, across its membership, to the performers we are so keen to support in every way we can and the way we are so careful not to intrude further than they invite us to, with the special considerations they extend to us. It was during 2005 that I discussed this very possibility with Roger. We agreed to remove the completely inoccuous comment in one of my 2005 posts that 'they worked well together and clearly had a superb rapport', in case something was read into it! Peter S.

Post 166 Steve shows how beautiful that church is, wonderful view of the altar and nice to see Fiona being promoted prominently--i don't know that we paid her that courtesy in the early days.
