Hi Folks I have one spare ticket for this event on Friday. £22 unreserved seating in the Marquee. If anyone is interested at such short notice let me know and I will meet you at the entrance before the show. That's assuming we can hire a boat to get the rest of us through Sheffield! George Your post is interesting George. I had planned to spend a week in the Dales but in this weather...! I have delayed my departure. I'm in two minds about making the concert, so give her my apologies, would you George if we don't meet up, by my not being there? I did tell her at Cardiff I would be at Grassington, Llangollen and Woburn. Hopefully there is time for the weather to not only improve but to undo the damage done so far. I have a horrible feeling Llangollen is currently in a bad way. I am sure I saw, on a passing flash on ITV news last night, a picture of the Llangollen river (I forget its name) very high and that area floods easily. When I passed through last year one aspect of the site was very water-logged but I haven't worked out where Hayley will be performing at the moment--I have to pace myself in what I handle when. Peter S.

Hi George, Looking back through the thread I see that tonyw was looking for a ticket but they were all sold out when he tried in May, perhaps you could PM him, it's worth a try! See you there! Steve H

Ah, so you will be there too, Steve? I had intended going up for driving around yesterday (Tuesday) which is why I had not planned on attending Liverpool Street but with the danger of that dam collapsing, the M1 closed off just in case, and the general condition of the weather I have been vacillating. It is however on highish ground. Postscript--in a permanent state of indecision.

Hi
I have replied to George's PM. The problem is I live on The Isle of Wight and it would be impossible to arrange transport and accomodation at such short notice. I hope all who are going have a great time. I expect to meet up with most HWI members at The Royal Albert Hall in September.
Tony

I looked at Grassington yesterday on Google earth & the river is right next to the village. Anyhow, Hayley will be OK up on the stage.....well for a while anyhow. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHope it clears in time for the show. Graemek

Don't recall the river that close, Grassington is halfway up a hill, but there will be plenty of offers to save Hayley. Come to think of it, I think she is a very good swimmer, so it might be Hayley saving us! Peter S.

See you there, Stuart
We are leaving at one, hope to arrive around 4 pm. We had originally booked to stay for the weekend but have amended it to just an overnight stay. The weather looks ok for tonight, then more rain tomorrow. I still have one spare ticket which I will bring along with me. Maybe it's just possible someone will be looking for one. George

George I understand your change of plans. Mine were to cancel out completely. I had intended an entire week there but I don't have the stamina for a straight up and down and my last checks yesterday, when I made my decision, was that the M1 was still closed in case that dam burst and there was complete chaos on the alternative road network as one can imagine. Hayley (if using car, most likely scenario) will doubtless 'bomb' up the M5 but that will also be used by traffic that will have gone up the M1 or will transfer over at Birmingham, so I chickened out, especially since I had not booked any hotel. I hope you have decent travelling and above all it will be a superb night. what ever the weather. Peter S.
