Hmmmm, I'm not sure what to make of this but it sounds exciting, thanks for telling us, Mortyman! We thought Hayley was due at Parken on April 1st (even though she is in Japan until the day before!!!) but certainly, I had NO IDEA this could be a high-profile event. I well remember A-Ha's first record released in the UK, many years ago, and I liked it! Lots of other big -names seem to be involved, too. I am certain that Hayley and Morten will make an excellent job of their duet and with Sissel involved in composing it, it should be a great song. I am surprised that she wasn't involved in singing the premiere of it - but you couldn't wish for a better alternative than "our" Hayley and I'm sure we all wish them and the entire event great success! *Dave rushes off to search for satellite TV channels he might be able to tape this event from... * i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

The sound of a-ha today is more "real" instruments. Not so much synthesizers and drummachines like it used to be in the 80's.
Morten as a solo artist has worked very well in the past and I'm sure he will deliver this time around too.
Hayley's voice is impressive. I've become a big fan. Unfortunetly her releases are almost impossible to find here in Norway.............................

Would be cool if they would release it as a single......................... Maybe you guys can dig up info on an eventual release of the duet ?? I have to stress though that it's only Morten Harket that will appear with Hayley, not the band a-ha.

The song that Morten and Hayley are going to sing, was recorded with Antonio Banderas og Anne Sophie von Otter as singers. However they could'nt attend the show on Saturday. So I guess, Morten and Hayley are just step in's......................... There goes my hope of an official release of the song. If it will be released I guess it will be with Antonio and Anne...................................... Not with Hayley and Morten............................

Aww that's a pity, that the other two got in first. They should be banned from singing it if Morten and Hayley do it better (which they will!) I found out that the concert on Saturday is being organised by "Initial" who are owned by the famous Endemol UK, so a lot of the interviews on the Danish TV preview video here is in English. It certainly looks spectacular. Another UK company 3DD Entertainment have the TV and DVD (!) rights so I can't see how they can leave Morten and Hayley out of the DVD (even if they aren't on any single). Or it may be broadcast on TV at a later date in other countries... let's hope more countries are added to the rather short list so far.

Endemol? I have always been led to believe they run numerous Dutch commercial TV stations - I'll be sure to check all Dutch commercial TV channels this weekend. I know there have been plans to broadcast the Andersen concert widely. Cheers, Gerrit Aww that's a pity, that the other two got in first. Bad news, good news. First, the bad: I am unlikely to be able to view or record the "Once Upon a Time" show from Parken, Copenhagen tomorrow (Saturday). This is what Jean Michel Jarre's website says about it: (http://www.jarrelive.net/doc.php?id=17 )
"The Hans Christian Andersen 2005 Foundation and 3DDTV have both confirmed to JARRE UK, that the Hans Christian Andersen 2005 Bicentenary Festival Opening Ceremony Concert, entitled 'ONCE UPON A TIME', at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark on April 2nd 2005, will be broadcast, either live or delayed, in the following 14 countries.
Armenia (PBS) Australia (SBS) - Saturday 9th April - 19:30-21:30 (7:30pm-9:30pm) Bosnia-Herzegovina (RTVbIH) Bulgaria (BNT) Czech Republic (CTV1) - Sunday 3rd April - 16:20-17:55 (4:20pm-5:55pm) Denmark (DR1) - Saturday 2nd April - 20:30-23:00 (8:30pm-11:00pm) Finland (YLE Teema) - Saturday 2nd April - 21:55-00:15 (9:55pm-12:15am) Iceland (RUV) - Saturday 2nd April - 21:00-23:05 (9:00pm-11:05pm) Israel (IBA) Lithuania (LRT) Portugal (RTP2) - Saturday 2nd April - 19:00-21:00 (7:00pm-9:00pm) Serbia-Montenegro (UJRT) Slovakia (STV) Sweden (SVT2) - Saturday 2nd April - 23:00-01:00 (11:00pm-1:00am)"The good news? Well I hope so, as the website goes on to say: "The Hans Christian Andersen 2005 Foundation and 3DDTV have also both confirmed that there are another 5 countries currently in negotiations to broadcast the 'ONCE UPON A TIME' Concert, including China, Germany, India, the UK and the United States Of America."
Therefore, even if none of us can watch tomorrow, there's Australia next week and several others hopefully, at a later date. So most of us should, eventually, be able to watch this show... keep your eyes peeled for TV schedules and news reports. They had better not edit-out Hayley and Morten's performance... this is what the official www.hca2005.com website says about it:
"The lead singer of the Norwegian pop group A-HA, Morten Harket, will perform a duet with the New Zealand star Hayley Westenra presenting the world premiere of the official UNICEF song Children First composed by the Danish composer Carsten Johs. Mørch and staged with a huge children's choir of 350 boys and girls from the Danish National Junior Choir, the Danish National Children's Choir, the Danish National Boy's Choir, the Royal Danish Academy of Music Children's Choir and a choir from the Copenhagen school Skt. Annæ Gymnasium."That sounds s p e c t a c u l a r! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

With thanks to Mortyman posting in the HWW forum, Morten Harket's official site and the A-ha Forum, here are some great photos of Hayley and Morten at Saturday evening's concert. Here are some photosBut the best of the lot, for me, is this one... (see below) of Hayley wearing Morten's leather jacket to keep out the cold! Chivalry lives! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif And I can't wait to see a video of this appear.... somewhere... or hopefully, the UK, German or US broadcast that one of us should be able to capture!

Hello everybody! I've just seen the photos, and they look great! I'm glad Morten put his jacket around Hayley, because she does look a bit chilly in the picture in the previous post. Actually I feel slightly jealous, because we'd all love to do that, wouldn't we chaps?!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAh well, only 6 days to Hayley's 18th Birthday next Sunday, and 7 days to the release of her DVD! Bye for now, Richard

Hi Everyone, Great shots, thx to Mortyman for them. Morten what a gentleman for giving Hayley his jacket, she looks freezing, Im sure he has no problems with the cold being from Scandinavia. Hopefully UK tv get to show this event soon. Also whats up with Hayleys official website, a German tour, Olympia appearance, Denmark concert and Unicef trip to Ghana and still no updates? Emmett.
