Hi Dave-I have run these two clips on my computer without any problems-slight aberration once in 3 runs on the 1920x1080. My monitor is 1280x1024. I should be able to run the clips on my full hd tv so long as I use the FAT32 file system. ron

Hi Dave,
I'll have a go when I can. I'm surprised that people have trouble with that resolution, I have an 8 year old Iiyama CRT monitor that will handle 1920 x 1440. Those sort of resolutions aren't that new... Trouble is I need to attach one of my Windows PCs to it to play the video, since my RISC OS machine is too slow and probably doesn't have the software available to play it anyway.
Horsepower might be a problem with my Windows machines too - we shall see.

Hi Dave. Both 30 sec. clips run beautifully on my 1280x1024 monitor. The 40" Samsung LCD TV was fantastic. I donned my glasses & watched for display clarity differences between the 2 clips. Hayley's eye clarity, her hair detail & her dress jewelry, the guitar brand, the guitar fine detail , RAH detail were 10/10 in both cases. I also tried to pick the best general quality of the 2 clips & must confess that I couldn't. Graeme

Hi Dave,
no problem with the full HD file with 1680 x 1050.
Cheers, Karsten

OK fellow HD experimenters, thanks for the further comments! Here is the result - Silent Night in 1280x720 HD 5mbps h.264 140 MB Silent Night in 1920x1080 HD 7mbps h.264 192 MBObviously, if there is no noticeable difference in quality between the two versions, on screens more than 1280 pixels wide in full screen, I need only do the 1280 versions in future. This would save in time and in file size, and would play well on more PCs. So please comment on any differences when you've viewed them, thanks. Anyone who hasn't tried to or cannot play these files at all (not even jerkily) and who wants to try them, get VLC Player here, as it plays 'everything' - and has Windows Mac and other versions. Dave

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Thanks Dave. Both videos worked fine. With my 1920 by 1080 monitor I couldn't see any difference between the videos so the lower resolution video is just fine for future videos.

Just wanted to say thanks again for these videos...I know it's not christmas anymore but i enjoyed watching these videos again today...they really cheered me up as I've currently got a really bad cold with a horrible fever...and generally feeling low as i've got exams next week which i'm really worried about....but these videos in particular as well as other Hayley videos i've been watching on youtube today made me feel quite a bit better...Hayley's voice certainly is very soothing...especially when your ears feel like they're on fire best wishes Sing

Yes, my sister's been borrowing one of my Winter Magic CDs, even though it's no longer Christmas time.
