Hi Roger
Thanks so much for your kind words to Hayley via Gerald and Kathryn at Bedlam on our behalf. It is really good to know that our support for Hayley during this difficult time hasn't gone un noticed and that Hayley will hear of our concern even if she hasn't read the forum.
Thanks again
Regards Mark

Hi All,
It is lovely that we have been able to pass on our best wishes and love through Bedlam and Roger, and I would like to thank everyone involved in that. I'm sure we would all want Hayley to know that we will support her through the good times and bad, and we will always love her for the wonderful music she has given us. We are no fair weather friends here at HWI.

The title is "Hayley going home - All 2008 events " but the Japanese company Samon Promotion does not announce any up to today. They are about to hold two concerts named "Prelude to Christmas" on Dec. 5th and 6th in Japan. It is almost the end Dec. 3 here and there will be only 1 day + left. I myself have another plan and I am not able to join the concert but some of my friends are wondering, "Will it be held as is scheduled?”.
Incidentally, cancel's pp is “cancelled” in UK but in US, they spell “canceled”. So I am thinking of the cancellation is only effective in UK but not in abroad. Am I correct? I am serious and I am not joking.
Anyway I am hoping Hayley to have enough rests and become fine again soon.

Hi Maya
Hayley has been suffering from a bronchial problem for several weeks and sadly has had to cancel all of her engagements. She is now at home in New Zealand recuperating with her family.
We have heard nothing about any Japanese concerts in December from Hayley's management but I cannot see any possibility of them going ahead.
Cancelled is cancelled, irrespective of how it is spelt I'm afraid.
Best wishes Grant

Hi maya,
I regret so say that Grant is quite right. Unfortunately, I knew nothing of the Japanese events until a few days ago when Hayley's father mentioned them in an email but only to say they were cancelled. For some reason, Bedlam Management never told us about them.
Just to confirm, all events (UK and Japan) have been cancelled for the remainder of the year due to Hayley's poor health. Here in the UK, venues usually contact ticket holders to advise how they should claim a refund (if no alternative date has been arranged). I don't know if it is the same in Japan.
Words are often spelt slightly differently in the US (colour and color, for example) but their meaning is exactly the same.
Roger

..... December 5, the six-day tour to Japan in two nights for as long as the Hayley's visit will commemorate the new machine and best album, best ever, the Pure Voices - Haley (UCCL-9059 tax cost 2,800 yen) , Announced on December 3. The best albums to come, Minako Honda. Duet of "Amazing Grace", was released in June, sang Japanese songs album cover - a net of 21-year-old songs of the meeting, a number of Tie-ins songs and a duet with famous singers, and two new songs and songs will be recorded. In addition, the Limited Edition and SHM-CD specifications, and Haley Award 2009 calendar. Pure Voices Haley full of a sense of transparency in the Christmas season will be invited to ? Graham provided this peculiar document some time ago. Also, Simon Lole mentioned at Koko / iTunes that Hayley intended to return to Japan before the end of the year to promote the Japanese album whilst it was still "hot".

One thing I hope will not happen as a result of these cancellations is for Hayley to think she has something to prove beyond this. Meaning I don't want her not to cancel future concerts if she's under the weather out of a desire not to let the fans down. No fan worth having would ever begrudge her for needing to back out if conditions weren't sufficiently favourable. I know she takes pride in her work ethic, but she has nothing to prove. I hope this past year serves as a caution against touring too much and working too hard.

The most relevant issue here is that Hayley should not, in the future, be expected to fulfil such a mind boggling schedule! How many other performers would fit in a trip to a war zone and 'pop' over to Japan for a couple of concerts whilst in the middle of a major tour! The problem arises if this does happen again and more concerts are cancelled, because then, Hayley risks being branded as "that singer who always cancels concerts" through no fault of her own. Lets get the schedule right; keep Hayley happy and healthy and avoid future problems like the one Hayley is facing now. Best wishes Grant

Best wishes Grant Hello all, I agree with these caveats - but I see a possible problem. Hayley has a sizable international fan base - but unfortunately they are spread out pretty thinly. She may not have the luxury of cutting back too much. I may be missing something - but I dont believe that (using the UK as an example) that her sales or her media profile are significantly higher than they were two years ago. This suggests (at least to me) that she needs to maintain something close to her current appearance rate to sustain that profile. She has (or will have) a similar problem maintaining Japan, and to a lesser extent New Zealand. As long as her career is constructed the way it is I suspect she is going to have a problem. Jon

...... For some reason, Bedlam Management never told us about them. Hi Roger, They have made a few 'mistakes' recently including Llandudno (first time ) and Durham. Because of the I in HWI and the concert schedule surely we would need to know The release of Hayley's album and this visit certainly seem to have been planned to co-incide......But we were left in the dark ! November 30 Sun - UK Swansea Grand Theatre,..... with the next one on DECEMBER 13 Sat - UK Edinburgh St Mary's Cathedral So a mini- tour is possible Best Wishes, Graham
