Based in information received a few days ago, we believe Hayley is now back on home soil having left London on Wednesday. It is currently sunny in Christchurch and about 20ºC - vastly better than here in the UK! Roger

This is excellent news Roger! Having convinced myself that Hayley would have flown home earlier than Wednesday (prompted by the statement from Bedlam "Hayley is returning immediately to New Zealand) and having felt comforted in the knowledge that she would already be in the loving arms of her family, it quite upset me to hear yesterday that that was not the case. Luckily for me I had a quick look in this morning to see if anything significant had happened overnight and was quickly reassured by the fact that Hayley is now, almost certainly, where she needs to be at this time. I shall rest easy now and hope to hear more good news from the Westenra household in due course. Best wishes Grant Hayley, I miss you loads already but please, please don't hurry back. Take all the time you need to get well. I'll be waiting with everyone here at HWI to welcome you back when the time is right.
Lots of Love Grant

I'm sure she has been very stressed out with the rough time she's had. The Chch sun will dp her good. Cold weather just makes it so much harder to recover from a sickness, but I feel sorry for her, having such a long trip to get home, as I did that myself last week, and it is exhausting. Get well soon, Hayley. Dori

Yes, cold weather is especially bad for bronchial infections. My wife Sue used to suffer from this a lot in wintertime in years past, and sometimes it didn't get better until spring, despite antibiotics and all her doctor could do. And there was always the risk that it would develop into something worse. Hayley is in the right place. Get well soon Hayley, and have a lovely time.
Greame and Marianne, congratulations on you anniversary (I'm a day late I know).
Martin

Sounds like a nasty viral chest infection I had two years ago.The only cure is time but if you do read this Hayley try vitamin c tablets with Zinc. It worked for me.If it is the same bug you feel better after five weeks however, the virus is only dormant and returns so be careful.Full recovery after three months.
Stephen.

Hi Roger
Thank you for passing on Gerald's message and thanks to Gerald for being in touch so quickly.
From his message it seems clear that there was no way Hayley could have 'soldiered on' with her committments here, but it's good to hear of her excitement at being home and I'm sure all the family will make the most of her extended stay in New Zealand and make sure she is fully recovered by the time she returns to the UK.
Get well soon Hayley!
Best wishes Grant
