Hi everyone, I don't think there will be a normal Classic FM Chart this week as they are doing the Ultimate Classic FM Hall of Fame - their Top 300 from the last 25 years, all of their existence, based on actual sales. It is a 3 or 4 day count-down ending with their no. 1 some time on Monday 28th. August (a Bank Holiday in England). You can see how the chart progresses here: halloffame.classicfm.com/ultimate-chart/ ...and we'll try to post it all when complete. Hayley has featured 5 times so far, all albums and they do not seem to be combining sales so there have been 2 versions of Odyssey for example and presumably there will also be two versions of Pure. They are down to no. 112 as I write, with just one Hayley album to go - the original Pure no doubt. Many thanks to Peter (postscript) for alerting us to this! Cheers, Dave

This Classic fm chart has really put a smile on my face, what a wonderful and well deserved endorsement of Hayley's brilliance and contribution to Classical Crossover down through the years. Bravo Hayley, well done and long may it continue.

Well we are in the last hour of the show and into the top ten! Where will Hayley's Pure (original UK edition) end up? 12: Bryn Terfel - Bryn 11: Katherine Jenkins - Serenade 10: The Priests - The Priests 09: Andre Rieu - Moon Light Serenade 08: Fron Male Voice Choir - Voices of the Valley 07: Katherine Jenkins - Second Nature 06: Katherine Jenkins - Living A Dream - 05: Charlotte Church - Voice of an Angel 04: Hayley Westenra - Pure03: Russell Watson - Encore 02: Russell Watson - The Voice 01: James Horner - Titanic Film Soundtrack halloffame.classicfm.com/ultimate-chart/#pos-100In one week's time it is the 25th. anniversary of the start of Classic FM. The chart is of the highest selling UK classical albums of that entire period. I predict that The Three Tenors or Pavarotti will take the crown but... how close will Hayley come? Will they interview her? Katherine is the top selling *artist* of the period, aggregating all her classical album sales. She has 9 in the top 300 and are interviewing her live on air. I am updating as they progress. Pure is no. 4 ! Excellent result for 'our' Hayley! Currently playing Pokarekara Ana. Dave

Glad to see I'm not the only one listening! Great result for Hayley, could have beaten Russell Watson at no. 3 and maybe no. 2 if Pure had combined sales of the two UK releases. Dave

No. 1 is... Titanic soundtrack! (Thought it would be Three Tenors)
The Three Tenors must be just before Classic FM started in 1992, as in the UK it has sold way over the 'nearly a million' that Titanic sold.
Very disappointing, a film soundtrack should not be top of *this* chart IMO but hey that's how Classic FM like it. Oh well.
Cheers, Dave
