Hi Graeme, Thanks for the find. Hopefully this audience will not cut off for the broadcasting. The Dragoon Guards sat just the next table from Hayley and when the guy with the handy cam approached this area just before the winner of the award was revealed I thought for a moment... Cheers, Karsten Hi Karsten & Grant, How many Dragoon Guards were there? 10, 15, 500 Graeme....thanks so much for your pics both of you....stunning pics of a stunning girl. She's just too gorgeous. Hi Graeme, Many thanks - as I'd usually say: it's not easy to cope with the subject. And to your question: only three... Cheers, Karsten

Hi Graeme Thanks for finding that - quite an eye opener! I felt quite let down when I heard that they had won and now I'm felling rather ashamed of myself! Quite fitting that they showed Hayley I thought, her having recently been over there and remembering her comments at the time, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Hayley considered them to be the most deserving winners. Don't think I would disagree with her. Best wishes Grant Hi Graeme and Grant, Great find, Graeme! Lovely clip! Thanks! Grant after reading your wonderful post, I'm feeling ashamed of myself too! Best wishes, Paulo Correia

Thanks for those photos, Karsten! The dress looks even more sparkly and silver in the indoor shots.
I thought that I might just say again how great I thought that Hayley looked. She's definitely getting more and more glamorous as each day goes by! Love the hair!
As for the comments about why Katherine and Mylene get all the attention ... well... it's just a media thing. No doubt had Katherine turned up in Hayley's dress instead, it would have been "Katherine Sparkles in Silver Space Age Frock' or something similar splashed all over the news page.

As for the comments about why Katherine and Mylene get all the attention ... well... it's just a media thing. Hi Jillian, Further to my earlier post, I think you may have a point about it being a media thing. It is possible that the UK press have some misconception that the UK public are more interested in UK performers. Katherine and Myleene (born in Neath and Norfolk respectively) possibly receive more media attention for that reason. Roger

Hi Graeme The above photo was taken by Karsten during the standing ovation that was given to Jose Carreras. In the backgorund you can also see Laura from All Angels.
Best wishes Martin

Hi all! Thank you for your great reports and pictures. I've just browsed through the pages quickly and have to read everything again more in detail later. I have to agree that the pictures taken by Mark, Grant, Dazza and Karsten are the best, a lot better than the official ones. Best wishes, Thomas

Thanks for spotting that, Karsten! I must say, HWI has definitely beaten the press hands down with all the photographs, so well done everybody! How many Dragoon Guards were there? 10, 15, 500 Actually there were only three in attendance. The rest of them were performing at the Windsor Tattoo. Richard

Roger I'm not entirely convinced. That doesn't seem to stop them publishing frequent pictures of Madonna (a foreign singer living in the UK, just like Hayley, except she is not so young and photogenic) or Britney Spears! And yes Roger, it is a misconception. We have a long history of interest in overseas artists like Elvis Presley and in classical music artists , like Pavarotti, Carrereas and Domingo. And it annoys me intensely that Hayley has gone to so much trouble and no doubt expense to look her best, then finds she is not getting her fair share of media exposure. It always seems that way with Hayley, others with less talent get better treatment by the media. This is a visually oriented world, and I suppose it is understandable that musical talent will not always win the day. So Hayley's magnificent voice may not always be properly appreciated. Sometimes inferior singers (ie just about any other singers) will get preference. But, at an event like the Classical Brits, we have seen that Hayley can look every bit as visually appealing as anyone else, perhaps more so, in a spectacular dress like this one, without singing a note. This time there is no excuse. The visually oriented media should have picked up on it. I'm sure Hayley made that effort to try to impress them. And she certainly impressed me and some others here. But they didn't bite and I wonder why. Martin
