Thank you all for the wonderful photos and reviews. I have thoroughly enjoyed them. Hayley looked stunning, even if we didn't get to hear how stunning she can sound. Thank you all for your efforts in posting them here.

Hi everyone, There is a new video on Youtube, a small interview with Hayley at the Classical Brits, before the show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIcNSWHSs_oBest wishes, Paulo Correia That'd be the best Hayley Clip I've seen for Class. Brits 2009. Thanks Paolo. Thanks Karsten. Good clip. I could have sworn I just saw Inspector Poirot too. Graeme

Hi Martin, No, they didn't bite -- it seems to me that some stars just automatically get the headlines no matter what. I think that's got more to do with the media and levels of media popularity on the whole than what just happens at one little event. I've noticed that while Hayley has a lot of fans and sells out concerts, she isn't really a 'media personality' as such. As a result, she's not going to be the first 'go to girl' when the first pictures of the awards come up. That's unless something very much out of the ordinary happens (i.e. she wears the same dress as someone else and gets an entire page to herself in the Mirror or she wears something incredibly ugly or different or revealing). Afterall, it's just one night and I think that Hayley's probably better served by wearing something spectacular than by deliberately picking out something with the sole design of getting attention: take note, Jonathan Ansell (:rollin) If Hayley wants to place herself more prominently in the media, I think that there's other ways to do it. Personally, I think that with the promotion of the next album, (if this can be organised) Hayley doing some fashion spreads in magazines for teen/young adult women would be a good idea. It would be a great way to show everyone what a glamorous young woman she is and might make the media sit up and take a bit more notice. I also think that a new album would be very beneficial. Katherine is always releasing and hence is more in the public eye and Mylene is a TV presenter (?) It's been a while between albums and thus it's probably not surprising that things are starting to slip a little. But anyway, that's a little off topic! Besides, while publicity in the Daily Mail etc would be nice, at least we all greatly appreciate what Hayley does -- and that'd have to count for something!

Great photos, everyone! Thanks for posting them *** Judging from my own observations, the Press aren't all that hard to understand, really. They seem to have a definite order of preference that varies very little between the 'quality' papers and the tabloids. It's all about grabbing their readers' attention. It runs roughly: Currently Most Famous; Other Brits; Wacky Outfits; Most Leg Revealed. That means someone like Madonna or Britney will trump all others, because they will get the attention of the most readers. It also means people like Faryl Smith will be in because everyone in Britain knows who she is right now because of BGT, and she's a Brit - 'one of us' - so she has a double-whammy. Jonathan Ansell clearly scored on Wacky Outfits (Sorry, Jonathan ) and being a Brit. Hayley is known but not mega-famous currently, not British, wears classy outfits rather than wacky ones and never shows more than her ankles (Or possibly the odd glimpse of calf). The poor girl has no chance.

In the very least, I suppose it's nice that Daily Mail have this image to promote the Classical CD on their main page: So obviously she must be musically popular if they have 2 of her tracks on that CD.

The poor girl has no chance. Hi Elliot, Yes, i think you have something there! I once saw Hayley in a miniskirt (and flat shoes and no makeup), and she seemed a bit embarrassed about it. Not that there is anything remotely to be embarrassed about of course, she is beautiful, but I think she felt she was showing too much leg. But I totally understand where she is coming from too. She is a singer, and would like to be judged by what she sounds like, not by what she looks like. But the world doesn't work like that, and she has shown us that she can wow us with her appearance as well as with her voice. Perhaps that's what it takes for the media to take an interest. But Hayley being Hayley, prefers to go for classy, not cheap and tacky and showing lots of leg, Perhaps she is just too good to be a popular media star, but I suspect she wonders what she has to do short of falling out of nightclubs blind drunk or high on drugs (which would probably destroy her voice) to get noticed by the media. I want to see her succeed as a singer, because she is the best I have ever heard. And I love music.. There are any number of beautiful women that can look good in a nice dress. But how many can sing like Hayley? I think I can count them on the thumbs of one hand! Martin

Hi Martin,
Knowing girls, she may have been just a self conscious about the lack of makeup! We can be funny about that -- even though Hayley has skin to die for -- I swear that girl seems to have managed to get through all her teenage years without so much as a spot! Anyway... I'll put my jealousy to the side for a moment! :rollin
I definitely think there's other ways than the whole 'falling out of clubs' cliche. There is of course the option of striding out of those places in front of the paparazzi looking a million bucks, but that rather goes into the territory of setting out to attract that attention and I think that Hayley has said that she doesn't really want that. Engineering yourself to being 'romantically linked' to someone more famous is always a good strategy too --- but I really don't think that that kind of grasping for attention is Hayley's scene at all.
Making sure that she goes to as many movie premiers as possible is always a good idea -- but I rather think that her schedule is too tight to allow much of that.
Of course, you have to remember that in the mind of the British press, Hayley hasn't released an album since 2007. It's a while and all the press releases/photo shoots/ interviews that go with it, do a lot to remind people that she's on the scene.

Just been 'catching up' on your pics over here and they are STUNNING guys - well done to you all on a great job. If I ever get round to getting some peace and quiet I will get mine sorted out as I have a few 'clips' from inside Yes, Mark, we were all sitting on the 'wall' at the disabled entrance next to the Stage Door. I had some cards made up for Jonathan with his summer event dates on the back and managed to give a few out - one of the Priests adn Jose Carerras graciously accepted one, looked at it, smiled and thanked me !!! Jonathan was gobsmacked to say the least when I told him

Hayley hasn't got the kind of beauty that immediately smacks you over the head like a sledgehammer, either, it more kinda creeps up on you. I think it's because she normally seems so shy and unassuming rather than 'in your face' like so many other stars. I usually describe her as 'shining with an inner light'. As if her inner beauty somehow infuses her outer form. Hopefully that will make sense to my fellow Hayley fans Doesn't make her a good 'instant attention grab' for newspapers, though, sadly.
