Hello everybody! I'm unable to go to Hayley's concert at Kenwood House on Saturday 9th July 2005, but I can give you some information about the local public transport. Kenwood House is on the north side of Hampstead Heath, and is about a 20 minute walk from Hampstead Station on the Edgware branch of the Northern Line. Bus route 210 stops at Kenwood House, and serves the following stations:- Golders Green, for the Edgware branch of the Northern Line; Archway for the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line; Finsbury Park for the Piccadilly and Victoria Lines, also Main Line trains to and from Kings Cross. Bus 210 runs later than the Underground, and there are Night buses to Central London from all the stations, including Hampstead. I hope you all enjoy the concert, and I'm looking forward to reading the reviews. I'll see you all at another concert later in the year. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Hi Richard, As you will not be at Kenwood House, I suppose I'll have to do the countdown! Okay, there are now 16 days to go. I'll be there. Roger

Hi Richard, it is a pity that you couldn't come with us. Many thanks for your explanation about the way to find Kenwood House, especially for me as a "blind chicken" in London. I have the Music on a Summer Evening brochure from the June issue of Classic FM. Are any of you buying a picnic rucksack at the Kenwood House concert? It says that it's an Ascot rucksack (maybe it once was one of Her Majesty's bold hats??) and wow...it's jam-packed w/ cutlery, plates, etc. I imagine that the food will be wrapped in about five layers of cling film!
More info. from the brochure about finding Kenwood House: Bus - # 210. Nearest Tube stations - Archway, Golders Green, Hampstead and Highgate. Free shuttle bus service before (from 5.30 PM) and after all concerts from/to Golders Green and East Finchley Tube stations. No on-site parking (disabled parking only).
