I've received a e-mail from WLVT 39 that organised the PBS benefit concert in Allentown on 29th April. It said that they've contacted their promoter for the concert (after my telling about the tour cancellations) and they have not been informed that Hayley's concert had been cancelled. So there is still a glimmer of hope!!!! Maybe one of you lot going to Classicalive will bump into Steve or Giselle and find out for me. Since it's like a one-off private PBS benefit concert sort of thing and not really been advertised, maybe the show will go on.

Well Lindsay just claimed that the US concerts werent cancelled, but postponed to a date undecided yet. If when you talk to them though, could you ask them directly about the concert on April 30th?

As there are no future dates in mind at this time, cancellation was the way forward but, for all practical purposes, this can be considered a postponement and a US tour will take place as soon as it can be organised. The above is from my message on this thread, dated 14th March and posted at 6:30pm GMT. I will certainly ask about the Providence concert but, my information, which is first-hand, is that they are all off with the exception of Detroit on May 8th. I cannot see them doing the Providence concert and then hanging around for eight days to do Detroit. And I can't see them making two return trips to the US in that period either. However, you never know your luck in a big city. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIn many ways, I hope it does go ahead and that you will be there. Cheers, Keith.

The PBS concert is a day before the Rhode Island concert, & according to both venturs, they have yet to be informed about the cancellations. I contacted box office for the Rhode Island concert & told them about the cancellations, I dont think they said they would check like they did for you Joe, but they did say that they did not recieve notice of any cancellations.

To add to the confusion, the official site's news page www.hayleywestenra.com/news.htm has removed the 'cancelled USA tour' news item from 11th March. Curious. It would surely make my birthday on Monday if I learn from HWI that the concert in Allentown is still on. Have any others who bought tour tickets here in the USA been able to contact the venue for a definite cancellation?

Final confirmation today. ALL US concert dates are cancelled with the exception of Detroit.
Also, the date of the Detroit concert may be moved. As soon as we get details, we will let you know.
Keith.

Many thanks Brandon.
I will seek confirmation but, it seems pretty certain in view of what you have said.
I must say, I regret this as I know you were looking forward so much to seeing Hayley. It will just mean waiting a little longer. Your chance will come and, in reality, it won't be all that long.
Cheers, Keith.

Sorry, Brandon. The concert in Detroit, as with the other 22 concerts in North America, will not take place as scheduled. I'm hoping that Hayley will at least come to the USA in autumn to promote the new CD. We're also hoping that most of the concerts in the US will be made up next year. www.detroitsymphony.com/season/production.aspx?performanceid=440
