I have had word today from Hayley's management team that the US tour has been cancelled, with the exception of the May 8th date with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, which will still go ahead.
This has been caused by recording commitments for the new album, which will continue into May.
As more information comes in about this, I will add it here so, keep coming back for any further updates.

What a horrible shock. I shall not be meeting Hayley after all, plus have I lost $280 (over 500 GBP). Good thing I haven't booked my hotel accomodation yet. Hopefully Hayley's management will either reschedule some of the concerts or introduce a major marketing scheme for the DVD (if it's available here) or Hayley will never make it in the states.
I hope that this is a bad dream. I shall be picking up my jaw from the floor now.

That must be shattering news for you Joe. I feel for you and other US fans.. what can i say? The only positive aspect might be that Hayley will produce an even better album that it would have been. Small consolation for now though, I'm sure.

Although the tour is cancelled, I still don't know what the final outcome will be. I do know that Hayley will be very upset about the whole affair. She has a very professional attitude and does not like disappointing anyone.
Until I get confirmation, I can only speculate but, I would think there is every likelihood they will re-schedule. At this stage, we can but wait and see.

Hi Dave,
Yeah, the news has upset me. I imagine that Hayley is also. When I think of the hours spent finding all those US concerts and getting the links for Keith...oh well. Perhaps some concerts will happen at a later date. If more time is required for the new CD, Hayley shall make it even better and with a special touch that only she can create. These things do happen and I do understand entirely.
I've been on to that PBS station that organised the benefit concert in Allentown; hopefully I can get the Live From NZ in video and dvd in exchange for the tickets.
I look forward to HWI's reports from Hayley's other concerts in the UK and elsewhere. Also I await news of the upcoming CD with the same enthusiasm. GO HAYLEY!!
Warmest regards to all, Joe

Does anyone know if the Detroit concert is a 100% go? Or is that concert still hanging on a thread. I'm hoping to atleast make it to that concert & I dont want another disappointment like this in my path, atleast one that is so close & avoidable.

Hi Brandon,
I have been assured by Hayley's management that the Detroit concert is going ahead.
So, if you can make it to that one, I would go for it if I were you.
Keith.

Wow... as soon as you said that my heart rose. This is such a releave on my half. Hopefully I can be there, I just have to wait for the RhodeIsland Providence Theater to give me my refound for the 2 tickets I got there. www.ppacri.com/specialinfo/westerna.cfmIf they send me my refund, there is a rough 75% chance you'll see me there!

I have been speaking on the phone today to Hayley's management about the cancellation. The following is the gist of what was said.
The recording of the new album requires more time, which had not been originally planned for. It is critical to get the recording completed so that the album release can be kept on schedule. It was, therefore, considered the only course of action possible to cancel the tour, with the exception of the Detroit concert on May 8th.
As there are no future dates in mind at this time, cancellation was the way forward but, for all practical purposes, this can be considered a postponement and a US tour will take place as soon as it can be organised.
So, there we go folks, It is never as black as it at first seems.
Keith.

Well being this concert is only 8 days after the one I was originally going to in April, as soon as the concert hall I was originally going to, actually recieves news about the cancilation. They will refond the money & I'll get tickets to the one in detroit.

Thanks for the update from Bedlam Mgmt. I am sure that the decision to cancel the North America tour was an extremely difficult decision for them. Steve and Giselle have done an amazing job; Hayley's bookings at the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the recent ice skating show were so unique and nothing short of brilliant.
So we'll just have to hang around for a bit for Hayley's US tour. In the meantime fans in the USA can enjoy Hayley's new DVD (May 3rd), her book (soon) and her new CD (this autumn).

Well from what I see at HWFans.com, Lindsay still has that the April 30th concert is going on, right under the news about the cancellation. So the tour page is up to date with all the cancellations, & from what I see, the concert I originally bought tickets for, is still booked!!

But I'm sure you've noticed that none of the originally scheduled US or Canadian concerts is currently listed on Hayley's Official site for April - and in May, only Detroit is listed. One of us UK fans should be able ask Hayley or her management about this, in London (Olympia) on Sunday, so watch this space and keep your fingers crossed for the right answer!

Well I'm thinking they accidently removed them from the site when they basicly took all of the may concerts & wiped them out. Having the detroit concert in mind, they made sure not to remove it, but not having the April concerts in mind, they might have accidently cleared them from the list. I know that happens to me ALOT of DreamWeaver (thank you undo option), & it might just be something that simple in this case.

Hi Brandon,
As I said above, my information comes directly from Hayley's management team. I was advised on the telephone yesterday that ALL US concerts, with the exception of Detroit, are cancelled.
I do not think that anything more positive than that can be stated. However, as Dave said, we will check this out, face to face, on Sunday. After all, you need to know the exact position if you are to be able to make a decision on what to do.
So, don't despair, we'll sort it out for you.
Cheers, Keith.
