Hi Dave. Yes please. Let me know something about Worcester too please. This is a concert I might have flown out to see friends in the States and booked to see. I'm most interested in knowing what the theatre and the town is like, please
Peter

Hi All, I was just browsing and found the following preview article for the Worcester Concert (The link to the page featuring this article is below): www.musicworcester.org/calmarjune.html2005-2006 Calendar - Music Worcester INTERNATIONAL SINGING SENSATION HAYLEY WESTENRA
Join us for this special performance by this alluring chart-topping 18-year-old who has risen to stardom as a record-breaking artist featured on PBS “Great Performances,” the Today Show and the Boston Pops 2004 Holiday Tour. This New Zealander’s piercing soprano earned her a record deal at the tender age of 14. Since then, the huge success of her most recent album, aptly titled Pure, has landed her a 4.5 million, five-album contract and international fame. ________________________________________ Monday, March 20 8 p.m. Mechanics Hall “A ton of star quality” - Newsweek

Hello Peter, Just getting in and caught up on my computer. To answer some of your questions, yes I did get some pictures of the town and the hall. One little problem ,I don't know how to post them on the board.Perhaps you or someone else could be of assistance. The town of Worcester[pronounced there Wooster],is the 2nd or 3rd largest city in Massachussettes,Boston being the largestest. It is,or at least was " An All-American City".The city I live in also had that title, but has fallen far from what it once meant. The downtown is a good size city with tall buildings and an area that is a more cultural in nature and that is where Mechanics Hall is located. I too believe as someone said, its glory days are in the past. I also noticed a great concern for the city by the citizens I ran into and by reading local publications. The Mechanics Hall is a beautiful building built back in the1850's.The outside is beautiful concrete with very large windows on the side and large entrance doors.Inside it is magnificent, beautiful staircases lovely gift shop, ticket window inside, and the hall for music is absolutely stunning at the same time very cozy. The acoustics were very good and the lighting was wonderful. They do not have a web-site,but you can e-mail them at www.musicworcester.org .They were very helpful to me e-mail and on the phone . Got to go now, hope that helps. TTFN,Dave Gibson P.S.There is an airport nearby.

Thanks for that response Dave (Gibson) re: Worcester--and that is how we pronounce it here--in our case it is on the England/Wales border. Regarding uploading pics look on the technical boards I am sure there is a thread. I have yet to tangle with that process myself.

Thanks for the response Peter,I will check it out. It was really neat getting Hayley's autograph on my Odyssey album. It is so unlike me to wait around for something like that, but I did. Quite a few people did the same in a very polite manner. This might sound strange, but as I left the theatre, I thought this young girl has captured the hearts of millions of people all around the world. Hey Peter, thanks for letting me share. Cheers,Dave Gibson

Hi Dave G,
Help is on its way. I know we have this previously but it may have been off list. I have asked Dave L if he knows where it is. In due course, we will make a new post in Technical Support for future use by anyone who needs it.
