Hello Ralph! Many thanks for posting the link to your web site. It is a wonderful photograph of Hayley with the Innovate Skelmanthorpe Band, but I've got to ask, which one is you? You mention your conductor in one of your posts, and I see he is standing on Hayley's left, so I'm guessing that you're standing on Hayley's right! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Ralph. Is it possible is was 'nothing more' than the awe of the reality? I'm still flabberghasted despite having physically contacted with her fourteen times now. Peter [PS (Roger knows what i mean, I think he was on at the time of my immediately previous post) Sorry/Thanks!] Or whom so ever! Ah, yes - I should have said that I didn't think the picture that we used on the programme was a very good likeness. Nice photo, but she seems to look a lot different in real life. The one with the band is really nice - I'm getting a copy for myself. Regards, Ralph

No - I'm tucked up at the back just in front of the chap on the top left, a little lower than him. Cheers, Ralph

Hi all. Just to confirm that Simon has just emailed to say that the 'formal' or 'edited version' of my 'casual' forum post on Hayley at Huddersfield has now gone on the web site. As i can't think of anywhere else to place this, as it's not for me to make 'tecnical' announcements, I thought of passing on some things that Simon has written to me, as I thought they would be helpful for those less familiar--or as stupid as I am, now that's suddenly reduced the numbers of those who tought they were interested! Certainly the clarification of web site and forum is something that had not dawned entirely on me, but that of course could simply be me!! - 1. Simon runs the web site and is separate and independent of, but entertwined with Roger et al (i.e. all mods) who solely look after the forum management of text, approrpriateness and classification of data, even though we come into the forum via the web site! Most of us byut not all of us. Apparently you can come into the Forum by-passing the web site.
- 2. Roger might well want to say that they would prefer to advise the poster if rhey feel a forum post is worthy of the main web site to save Simon being inundated but were you to wish a greater prominence for a post it shouild go to Simon who doubtlessly liaises with Roger, at least, if any received posts are up to standard for the web site.
- 3.Simon originally asked for submissions saved as Word with the web option, stripping out certain codes, producing an htm product. (it's all part of the MS Word alternartive saves). HOWEVER, partly prompted by the fact that I thought I was being helpful he is now asking, because I added something, something different!
- 4. Save the file as RICH TEXT (i.e. a plain.doc file) and confirm "don't save MS Word formatting". This will make it a far simpler task for me to convert - almost on-the-fly - to a format suitable for the web.
- 5. Also, please DO NOT specify font sizes - I have to change each and every paragraph and sub-heading to suit the site's style and that's an even longer task.
Made ONE change to your text - right where you refer readers to the "main board". Forum and Website are completely separate entities, though inseparably intertwined as far as our readership and the web-at-large is concerned. The HWI Forum is headed up by Roger and his Mods, the website is my little baby. Some folk use only the one point of reference - usually the website - others use both. The Forum has the added advantage of being the more interactive, but the website will always remain the more high-profile. Hope this clarifies things for you... That was Simon to me which I am sharing. I found it all very interesting and apologies to Roger if he feels, 'I told you all that at the beginning' . Just put it down to my periodic doolaliness! Peter S.
