To all attending Hayley's performance at Newmarket Racecourse... Enjoy yourselves. It's a sure bet that Hayley will impress as usual. The odds favor good weather. Hayley will win the place with her show! Exit...left paddock... Joe Thanks Joe, hopefully we can get a group photo of the HWI crowd at Newmarket to post later this week, I am definitely NOT wearing a hat though! Steve H I unashamedly WILL be wearing a hat, although likely in fact to be a cap. Peter

Peter Hi Peter, Here's the "deerhunter" style hat which I was teasing Roger about - Why not wear something like this Very fitting for the occasion I'm sure... You would certainly stand out in the crowd! If I were attending Newmarket I would most probably wear a hat like this, although it would be tailored from the appropriate 'Westenra of Christchurch NZ' tartan! Tie down the ear flaps when the weather gets rough! Regards, Andrew

Hello Andrew! I've had an idea. TV's popular racing pundit John McCririck is famous for his deerstalker hat, so if you want some free publicity for your 'Westenra of Christchurch' tartan, get one made in the tartan and send it to him. It might be a good tactic to include a box of tic-tac mints! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifUnless the weather changes very suddenly, I don't think there'll be enough wind for take-off at Newmarket tonight! Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hayley sang beautifully as usual, but I will let the reporters tell you more later, It was windy at times, which made Hayley's hair dance. Steve H

Thanks very much to Steve and Stuart for sharing some wonderful photographs of this evening's event so quickly. Apparently, I have written over 50 reports over the past 2.5 years and so I will step aside and let others say a few words. However, these are the songs that Hayley performed (as I was the only one making notes!): Pokarekare Ana The Water Is Wide Ave Maria (Cacchini) Prayer Amazing Grace River Of Dreams Lascia Ch'io Pianga May It Be Scarborough Fair In Trutina Hine e Hine Ave Maria (Schubert) Another truly wonderful evening for which our eternal thanks go to this forums latest member, Hayley. Hi Denise and I had a great day today. Firstly we saw Hayley rehearsing before midday. There were only a handful of people there and it was nice that she recognised us both with a little wave from the stage. The racing was great. Seventy pounds staked and sixty three won! A net loss of seven pounds, which I consider as a small victory! Hayleys concert was superb as always. Lovely to see her perform solely for over an hour. Finally to meet Hayley afterwards with the other HWI's in attendance. Nice to meet you all again - Roger,Dave,Stuart,Steve and Peter. George Just a few pics from me
