Hi folks, you may be pleased to know this is the last batch of pics from Newmarket that I am posting.... Steve H Well Steve, it may be the last batch and Stuart too may (or may not!) be getting towards the end of his Newmarket photos... but I don't think many people will be pleased to hear it! You both have done a superb job, with many excellent and unique photos and it's certainly made my life easier as I haven't had to do a thing... so far! I will post a few of my photos over the next two days, if I can find any that don't duplicate what you two have already posted and I'll tell you what... I am going to start with just one - a photo that I know with absolute certainty that a) you didn't get and b) you didn't know existed, so here it is! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifStuart and Steve Hayter, hard at Work for HWI - at Newmarket Races Gotcha! Hi Dave. A superb pic of the 'terrible twins'!? I endorse your comments that a) people will NOT be happy to see the end of this batch of pics from the Hayters and b) thank you both of you for a wonderful contribution to the day's memories Peter

Excellent photographs, Steve, Stuart and Dave! Peter, I really enjoyed reading your post, because I'm not a race-goer so I know nothing! Welcome back Caite. I hope you'll have enough time to catch up with all the news before you get down to the serious business of moderating! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes to you all, Richard

Thank you Peter, It's that Minolta Sigma combination again! This one is especially for you! I apologise that the girl in the middle is a bit bleached out, but you and Hayley are fine! Best Wishes Steve Oh Steve, how superb of you. Thank you. I love it! Postscript in his racing colours! Thank you Richard for advising my little forays into 'background ambience' are of interest. I thought I couldn't be the only novice and I also think it important to recognise that while some people may have sensitivities about gambling etc, there is a fun of racing which doesn't have to be maligned under the shadow of the betting shop. Hi Roger. I forgot to say, when previously complimenting you on your report that the message I understood was not so much the specific as the general principle. You said: Hayley then told us that she had admired the next song for many years but had only recently decided to record it. Her rendition of ‘Scarborough Fair’ seemed to be extremely popular amongst the nearby members of the audience. Someone cried out, “Bravo”, which I have been reliably informed, is a word which Hayley would prefer not to be used. However, it did not emanate from any of us so I trust we will be allowed in to future concerts! My own interpretation was that she referred to the general principle of cheers from 'regulars' leading the audience rather than allowing each audience to respond as it would. She may have meant the specific as well, but I think she was more concerned about a general principle of 'don't cheerlead'. Something I dont think any HWI member would think of doing. Of course, we are arguably some of the most enthusiastic Hayley punters but in the same way at the signings, we 'regulars' hold back for those for whom this is a one-off golden opportunity, likewise I think we hold back our enthusiasm at a concert so as not to presume upon the mood of those around us. Thank you for that Peter and I think it is well worth mentioning here. Certainly, the HWI team have never attempted to cheerlead and I have made a point never to be the first to my feet for fear that it would appear to be engineering a standing ovation. However, if a handful of other audience members chose to do so, I am quick to join them! Roger

Thanks for those beautiful shots of Hayley, Stuart! The last two are very unusual, and Hayley appears to be deep in thought. Best Wishes, Richard

Hello everyone, especially Elizabeth and any other of our lady members who are interested in Hayley's dresses! Here is a detailed photo of the first dress Hayley wore at Newmarket, I'm afraid I had to make the file unusually large (175KB) in order to show some of the exquisite detail in this full-length photo, I hope you like it. Nice shoes, too! It is nearly three screens deep so if it shows up too small, you may need to adjust your IE settings. Hayley's Yellow Dress at Newmarket Races Dave
