Westenra to sing across New Zealand

Christchurch's internationally renowned teen diva Hayley Westenra is to make her first tour of New Zealand in two years.


Seven concerts across New Zealand between January 17 and 28 will also feature Westenra's British musical director, Ian Tilley, accomplished Christchurch violinist Fiona Pears and guitarist Simon Lusby, the tour's promoters said yesterday.

Westenra will perform in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North, Tauranga, Auckland and Hamilton.

Immediately after her short New Zealand tour, Westenra will travel to the United States where she is to join operatic boy band Il Divo on their world tour - a long series of engagements that will take up much of next year.

Thanks for the info i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif,but i am very surprised how late in January The tour is.
And i had thought Fiona was to perform over at Lyttleton on the 18th January.
When i get definite dates will see if i can go to the Dunedin concert as well.

Pacific Entertainment and Universal Music have today announced a special late January tour featuring Hayley Westenra. This will be Hayley’s first New Zealand tour in two years.

Tickets for the Dunedin and Christchurch concerts are available at ticketek.co.nz

Details of the five concerts in North Island have not yet been released.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the info re NZ tour.

Hayley seems to be spending a few extra days in Auckland,maybe she has some other performances interviews etc while shes there.
The Christchurch Press is advertising the concert today.

I knew I would go to New Zealand at the wrong time. I won't be there until March and by then she'll be touring with Il Divo. *sigh*
