Here is a UK concert I found. www.liverpoolphil.com/whats-on/get-search.asp?Month=11&Year=2005&Event_ID=459&QuickSearch=1#eventItem Tuesday, 8 November 2005, 8:00pm Hayley Westenra with the RLPO The 18 year old classical superstar joins the RLPO in concert At the age of just 18, Hayley Westenra has already duetted with Andrea Bocelli, José Carreras, Bryn Terfel and Russell Watson. Now she joins the RLPO in a one-off concert after recording with the orchestra in 2004. Pure, the record-breaking 2003 collection which marked her international debut, was made when Hayley was 15. The album, which has sold two million copies to date, topped the UK classical charts and also went Top Ten in the pop equivalent. In her homeland, it is the biggest-selling New Zealand album of all time. Hayley's new album, Odyssey, is released worldwide in August. Her wonderful voice retains its crystal-clear purity, but Westenra's singing is now richer and more rounded than before. Her concert with the RLPO is sure to be an extra-special event.

Thanks Kimberly, a nice bit of ferreting there! Hayley's so-far unannounced schedule for the rest of this year is starting to fall into place now. From what's been announced, It looks like: August - NZ, Oz and Asia, Odyssey promo and a few concerts. September - UK, Odyssey promo and a few concerts. October - US, Odyssey promo and a few concerts. November - UK, more Odyssey promo and some concerts - including Keith's RLPO concert in Liverpool and hopefully, a tour. December - guessing, back home to NZ for Christmas... and a well-earned rest! Well that's my guess anyway i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi everyone, I've just got home after a 250 mile drive from Liverpool - I made a last minute decision to go to Hayley's concert with the RLPO and very glad I am that I did! I won't be posting a review tonight, it's after 5 am and I need sleep! I'll mention a few things about it here, more.in the Concerts Review board in due course. This was an entirely classical concert in front of a packed audience at Philharmonic Hall... it was as near to a full house as makes no difference - and it was great to see such excellent support for Hayley in Liverpool! She sang a full programme of about a dozen songs by the end, there were three more very good pieces by Fiona Pears as violin soloist for her own compositions with the full orchestra - and several more purely orchestral pieces. Some of Hayley's choices were dariing, Bachianas Brasilieras no. 5 (completely out of the blue, she dedicated it to Keith!) and O Mio Babbino Caro among them - the audience seemed to really appreciate that one. None of Hayley's "pop" songs were in the programme and hey, even though I like them, I didn't miss them! Hayley's mum Jill was there too, friendly and chatty as always - though she was still thoroughly jet-lagged after her long trip from NZ a day or two ago. I got the distinct impression from the programme and one or two things that were said that Hayley will not be dropping the classical parts of her repertoire anytime soon. That suits me just fine! The best part of the evening came after the concert ended... after signing CD covers for a very long queue of people, Hayley finally got to meet Keith (nothing was going to keep him away from THIS one!). She looked absolutely delighted to see him and gave him the biggest hug (or was it three? ) that you ever did see!!! I think somehow that you rather liked that, didn't you Keith? Oh well, that's all for now... I'm sure I've missed some of the best bits out but can't type any more... it's off to bed for me! Dave

Hello Dave, Thank you very much for your comments on the RLPO. Especially those pertaining to Keith. Hayley at her considerate best. It surely reinforces the view , if any were needed that Hayey cares as much about her fans as they care about her. How great a lift to Keith spirits it most surley have been. Am I a traitor for being at Aled's concert and not Hayley's

Hi Lothar, I found that in picture 2 Hayley have signed her name on the CD and the CD booklet. Is it a common practice for Hayley to sign two names? One on the booklet, the other on the CD? Raymond

Thanks for the early reports Dave and Roger, and thanks for those two beautiful photographs Lothar! It sounds like a wonderful night, and now I'm looking forward to seeing Hayley again in Banbury on 17th November, then at St. John's, Smith Square in London on 12th December! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard
