Bearing in mind what Roger said about problems with concerts in churches, let's hope the guy in charge of the microphones is on the ball this time ! The choice of venue is interesting. Last year Hayley did a concert at a church in Banbury I think it was. The priest of the parish turned out to be one of the parents of "The Choirboys." Maybe there is a similar connection here. Perhaps one of All Angels hails from Shropshire ?!

Perhaps one of All Angels hails from Shropshire ?! Funny you should say that, Jeff, because Melanie comes from Shropshire. For some reason, Hayley seems to be particularly popular in that county (and surrounding area). There was a hasty return to Shrewsbury during the 'Churches' tour last year within a few weeks of the first concert there. Roger

I have, just this minute, managed to secure a seat for this concert.
Box office is very busy and I understand they are queuing "out the door" I got a very helpful young lady - Rachel - who is not the box office but took my details and promised to have box office ring me back which they did within 15 minutes.
Tickets are £17.50 with a £1.60 credit card fee.
The venue only holds 400 and I'm told the acoustics are brilliant.
Also, seating is unreserved.
Happy hunting. Grant

Just noticed that this concert (and next year's Cadogan Hall concert) are now detailed in the events section of Hayley's official web site.

P.S. Am I the only Haylyated and Westenwowed fan going?!

Hello Elizabeth! Telford is in Shropshire, West Midlands, about halfway between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury. It is about 2½ hours from London Euston by train, changing at Birmingham New Street. I won't be going to this concert, but I'm sure there will be some great reports here at HWI. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Thanks- Elizabeth Hi Elizabeth I would say around 4 - 5 hours by public transport or 4 hours by car (some of the busiest motorways have to be used). Good luck! Best wishes Martin

It would be great to see you in Telford - The concert is actually in St George's church AT St George's which is a suburb of Telford just above the M54. If you come by train you will almost certainly have to stay over as I would not expect there to be a train back to Birmingham or Wolverhampton after the concert. I guess you wouldn't want to drive back either that late at night. Whatever you decide I think the concert will sell out fast with only 400 seats. Hope you decide to come!! Best wishes Grant

Thanks everyone for letting me know how far it is- I don't think I'll be able to make it- if it was only an hour or so, that would be different but I wouldn't be able to stay over seeing as my exam period starts the next day! Hopefully there will be another concert that I can go to soon- I'm here until April, so hopefully I'll get lucky and they'll be a concert in London or somewhere closer- but you have an excellent point Richard- I'm sure the pictures of the event posted here will be wonderful, so I'll be able to have a look at those -Elizabeth

I've been wondering how this particular venue was chosen (and at what appears to be short notice) - does anyone know?
Perhaps the Church in question is celebrating some kind of anniversary or event?

Let's hope so for all our sakes!! Grant

Martin Interesting point Martin. I didn't pick up anything to suggest a special event for the church when I booked. As Roger said in an earlier post, Hayley does appear to be very popular in Shropshire and Melanie comes from this county also!! Could that mean four certain young ladies as special guests!! Grant

Hi Grant & Everyone
I must say I am tempted to try and make this concert. I have checked AA route planner and it is only and hour and a half drive for me. I will be seeing Hayley the following week on the 9th at Cardiff though - twice in one week !! Am I being greedy ?
I am checking my diary and family commitments so that I can make a decision right now. It sounds as though I had better be quick - with a demand for the few available tickets !
I will keep you posted !
Regards Mark.
