Look for Hayley performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25th. She will be singing "Beat of Your Heart."
Also, on December 3rd. Hayley will appear on NBC's Today Show, where she will be performing "Who Painted the Moon Black". Presumably she will talk about her upcoming holiday tour with the Boston Pops and also promoting the airing of the Katarina Witt and Friends special that will be airing in January.

Look for Hayley performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25th. She will be singing "Beat of Your Heart." Thanks Joe, more news reports about it are appearing on the 'Net already. This report here mentions Hayley briefly - and has a scary section about lip syncing - I've never heard of Hayley doing this, ever! Maybe she can practice today on a plane over from London to NY . "The catch is that these singers lip-sync to pre-recorded tracks. "It's not like Ashlee Simpson," Roker said. "They're not trying to hide it." (Simpson is the pop singer whose lip-syncing self-destructed on "Saturday Night Live." As it happens, she'll be at the Detroit parade.)
Grippo says one star - he won't say who - did try to sing live at the parade, while hearing the music track in his ear. It was a disaster. So people stick to lip-syncing, he said. "Some are more adept at it than others."

Look for Hayley performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25th. She will be singing "Beat of Your Heart." Okay! I just got done (several minutes ago) watching Hayley perform on the NBC network's airing of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She looked really adorable, and I could not tell whether or not she was lip-synch-ing, but I can just say one thing... NBC television should hang its head in shame! Because... they shifted the TV cameras back to the host and hostess WHILE HAYLEY WAS STILL SINGING!!! And, the audio controller at the studio shifted the audio sound back to the microphones of the host and hostess, who started TALKING loudly about the NEXT float coming up on the parade route. In other words, the network basically "cut Hayley off" right in the middle of her performance. The only people who had an opportunity to hear the entire song (Beat of Your Heart) were the folks who were there in person, standing on the sidewalk. In fact, we TV-watchers didn't even get a chance to hear the beginning of the song, either. The NBC studio cut to Hayley performing the song, about 45 seconds or maybe one minute after she had apparently started doing it. And, then they abandonned her performance, before she was even done! So, the television audience just got a "snippet" of Hayley. I'm really annoyed at NBC. Several minutes later, they treated Andrea Bocelli with much greater respect.

Hi Susan! I hope you've had a very nice Thanksgiving holiday!
I started watching the parade on TV about 10 o'clock. I didn't know that CBS also were also airing the parade. But I'm glad I stuck w/ NBC. That's when the announcer said Hayley's name (meaning that she would be on next). I thought for a while that I may have missed Hayley . She finally appeared about 10.20; atop the Green Dog float (Green Dog must be the name of a company) in front of Macy's department store. I agree that Hayley was well into her song when the cameras cut to her. Hayley looked quite comforable miming the words; I wouldn't even have guessed Hayley was lip-synching if she wasn't the only one! She only sang for a little over a minute, then the cameras slowly swung round to the hosts. I don't quite think NBC was abondoning her though; as they were probably pressed for time. It must be difficult trying to get all the acts and marching bands the proper air time. This parade was seen by over 50 million people. I really enjoyed Hayley's brilliant performance!

Hayley will appear on 'The Tony Danza Show' Monday, December 13. Check local listings for show time and channel.
The show is taped and broadcast live. As there may be a few standyby and short-notice tickets for the show still available, here is the studio location:
ABC New York Studios, 30 West 67th Street, New York City.

You might be able to score tickets if you have an in with The Tony Danza Show management. Does anyone know who's the boss?

It's good that Hayley will be appearing on the Today show, this morning. This should give another boost to "Pure" and obviously, the first indications will come from the rankings at Amazon.com so I'll be keeping an eye on this from time to time in the Charts thread. I see that Pure is already up from ranking 634 yesterday to 94 early this morning - following the first broadcasts of Hayley's PBS special in some US cities (such as NYC) yesterday evening. This is the first time it's been in the Amazon top 200 for ages. Later today, as Pure climbs higher, it will probably become impossible to tell which has been the bigger influence - PBS specials or "Today". But it's all good

At first I thought Hayley hadn't appeared on "Today" - but she did! The HWF forum - Hayley in the Media - Hayley on american TV has a great video link to Hayley singing live, uninterrupted, to Ekaterina Gordeeva skating at zero deg. C (thanks Steve!)., with a nice credit by the announcer too - albeit she was only in vision briefly (a few times). Yep you read it right, sung live at at zero degrees C - and very well she did it, too, considering. I bet that's the coldest she's ever sung in i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Actually, it was about 32 degrees in New York City when she sang, and probably a whole lot warmer where she stood due to all the lighting and camera equipment around her. The video you saw showed the local temperature for some other city.

I thought Hayley sang wonderfully despite the cold weather. Ekaterina skated brilliantly to the music. Too bad Hayley wasn't brought inside the studio afterwards so she could discuss the Pops tour, etc.
Did you hear what the presenter said after he introduced Hayley "Wes-tern-a"? He said PURE has sold more than two million albums world-wide? There's just no stopping Hayley's Comet!

I didn't hear it from that source, but the 2 million mark was mentioned at the UNICEF concert in London last week so it is probably fairly reliable although, as Dave says, that may mean shipments rather than over the counter sales. Great news nevertheless

Hayley's appearance on the Tony Danza Show was wonderful. She sang Who Painted the Moon Black.
I was disappointed that she wasn't given an opportunity to be interviewed. I find that this has been the case with her more recent TV appearances. But Tony really enjoyed Hayley's song. Now who's the boss, Tony?
