The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has just signed 17-year-old singer Hayley Westenra to its “Christmas at the Pops” shows, set for December 3 & 4, 2004, on the Deloitte Pops Series led by Principal Pops Conductor Richard Kaufman.
Westenra’s appearance adds to an already star-studded “Center-Stage” package. The package kicks off with singer/dancer/comedian Martin Short in a showcase of his multiple musical talents. The “Center-Stage” package also includes Tony-Award winning singer/dancer Tommy Tune, the jazzy and diverse Empire Brass, The Flying Karamozov Brothers with a high-flying, off-the-wall evening of performance art and a “south of the border” fiesta with “Hot Latin Nights” featuring Jeff Tyzik and the Mambo Kings.
