Hi,
ive just joined your group, its so diverse and widespread [geographically, i mean] its amazing that our little christchurch girl has so many fans everywhere.... i've been a haley fan for four years having first experienced her singing on a small talent show called "mcdonalds young entertainers". the judges had no idea on music obviously since she didnt win.. and of course her occcasional performances in christchurch. i have all her albums except walking in the air [im sure im not alone there though] i went to concert of hers on saturday [it was lovely], met her briefly afterwards and got a photobooklet signed. as did 200 or so other peoples. it must have taken her hours, poor thing.
sorry i have to cut this short, i have to work and apart from that i need coffee.....
Robert.

Hi Robert and welcome to the forum. We do indeed have visitors to the site from all over the world but it is always especially pleasing to see more people form New Zealand joining us here. Please tell us more about the recent concert you attended when you can. And we'd love to see the picture! Best wishes from a VERY cold England! Roger

Hello Robert, and welcome to the Forum! It's great to see another new member from Hayley's home country. I've had the pleasure of seeing Hayley in concert ten times, and so far I've managed to meet her every time. The picture in my avatar was taken by Roger at Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre on a scorching hot day last July, so it's a nice reminder of warmer weather. It's freezing cold in London at the moment! Welcome again, and I look forward to reading your future posts. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Robert, Spiderman ? Great to have a fellow countryman join us on the forum. I saw Hayley's concert in Christchurch on the 18th January it was fantastic, Did you meet her dad Gerald he is very approachable too. How did you hear about Hayley Westenra International? Robert ask Roger how many times he's meet Hayley. I've had the priviledge of Hearing Hayley's singing since since she was 8 and the video of that is on the main site. If you have a spare day visit the main site and you'll be there for hours. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGreetings from Christchurch,NZ Belinda

hi belinda/ joe/ everyone....
spiderman because i have a phd in zoology [my particular topic was chemical communicatiojn in spiders; though im actually rather well educated in most aspects of animal behaviour] it was coined by a friend of mine who liked nicknames. gerald was there yes.. quietly in the background. 1 westenra at a time please. hwi's main site is indeed somewhere to be lost for hours. im at work though and though telecom is fairly liberal about internet use. i have to work first. it may take awhile to get through the mountain. i do have the advantage of a MB/sec connection though. i miss christchurch, i had a nice quiet little flat in brockworth place. im actually from dunedin. half there, half chch. the rest here. it makes sporting rivalries confusing.

Hi Robert,
It seems you have something in common with Hayley's brother. Isaac has a great interest in spiders. Personally, I can't stand them - too many legs!

Hi Robert, I assume you only have one pair of legs? If yes, I guess they've got you around quickly enough to see Hayley performing plenty of times over the last 4 years? Re: 'Spiderman', I hope you don't have the tendency to climb buildings and peer through windows? Incidentally, Roger's comment about Isaac's interest in spiders was mentioned in the 'Pure' Tour Programme. I wonder if Isaac became interested in spiders since he enjoyed scaring Hayley and making her run out of the room? Little brothers are such "darlings" Huh? I should know as I am one... I used to pull my sister's pigtails and draw in her favourite books! I still enjoy winding her up to this day... Regards, Andrew

hi everybody....
only one pair of legs sorry, though they do get a lot of use. my cousins have chalked the spider interest up as another reason im wierd. they are rather fun though, even if large tarantulas do make me nervous. issac likes spiders? at least that makes 2 of us. actually probably 3 since my ex supervisor has been studying them for 20 years or so.

I've been a fan for about a year and a half and my wife and I saw Hayley in Easton,PA last fall at the State Theatre. It was a lovely night ,but we did not meet the lovely young star. Hi Dave Gibson, My family and I also attended this concert., along with fusilier (Steven), timj, and Natasha. I got the tickets via pledging to WLVT PBS-39 TV. The whole gang of us waited for Hayley to emerge afterward but were told to clear the lobby and Hayley was leaving. So we treked in the pouring rain round the back of the theatre to a door at the end of the alley. After 15 minutes the alley was getting darker and the rain was falling harder so I left; later I learned that I just missed Hayley. Oh well. Welcome to you and Robert!

hi...
thanks for the welcome. i feel lucky though,in nz concerts hayley comes out after and signs stuff for folk. 200 people or so qued up in hamilton. it must have taken her hours. i guess in the usa ther would be too many people to do that though... its klind of nervewracking though having all that time to contemplate encountering hayley. or do you folk get used to it?
