What a fantastic concert!
I have been fortunate to see Hayley 10 times now and this was probably the best I have heard her sing, very 'pure' !!
She sang lovely smooth low notes while still reaching the amazing high notes. She seems to be getting better as she gets older and she is also looking more and more beautiful too.
I went up to Milton Keynes with Roger to see it. Before the concert we sat in in a small country pub near the theatre and Hayley's manager Steve walked in!!....he was busy chatting and didnt see us but eventually he saw us and chuckled and we had a nice quick chat with him.
(I have a claim to fame, I was actually born in the same hospital as Steve!!)
Then it was off to the concert!
It is a lovely small intimate venue with good sound
(it is owned by Cleo Lane and Johnny Dankworth and is situated in the in the grounds of their home nearby)
Myself and Roger had seats in the centre of the third row...
Hayley seemed very relaxed and the audience warmed to her immediately...
I will leave the reviews of the concert up to Roger as he is best at that...
After it, Hayley came out to do a signing in the foyer, and after doing about 100 she still had time for a really lovely chat with myself and Roger, and also Fiona, Ian, Hayley's mum Jill, and her manager Steve were there too, all such lovely people.
It was a fantastic end to a fantastic evening.
