It's just non-stop Hayley news at the moment! A friend who is on a HMV mailing list has just informed me that Hayley is going to do an instore performance in HMV in London. I thought they'd got it wrong at first, and I am still slightly weary as the official site was updated yesterday with the news of the local radio tour so I wonder why they didn't put this news up as well? But I have been on the HMV site and they have information about it there, so I assume it must be true! It says: Hayley Westenra @ HMV Hayley Westenra will be performing live and then signing copies of her new album 'Odyssey' at HMV 150 Oxford Street, London on Tuesday, 27th September at 5.30pm. The link is here: www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/navigate.do?pPageID=1080They seem to have quite a few instore perfomances and they all seem to be advertised quite far in advance - there is only one that is happening before Hayley's. I wonder how long this has been up on the HMV site for? Did anyone know anything about this before?

Many thanks for the information Sal! HMV at 150 Oxford Street is one of my regular haunts, where I buy most of my CDs. I certainly didn't know about this. I was planning on buying "Odyssey" the day it is released, but I just might hang on till the following day! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnybody else coming? See you there, Richard

Well done Sal and thank you. Richard, please remind me which is no 150? Is it midway between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road tube stations, or the one near Bond Street? I have a few days off work (Thursday to Monday in) but am due to be back there on Tuesday. I think there is a good chance that I could get that day oof too so I hope to see you there. You never know, I might even be able to drag Belinda along as she will still be in the UK so, with luck, I'll see you there. How about you Sal? Roger

Thanks Richard. I never knew which was which numbers-wise! That means 150 is my preferred branch. I have spent may happy hours in that store. There was one occasion when I bought 23 CDs! And other times I come home empty handed. Either way, it is a great place to browse.
I once stood in a queue behind Carl Davies! I couldn't see exactly what he was buying but it was something by Brahms! Just thought you'd like to know! LOL

Hmmm, Emmett
Still a pity we couldn't meet up with you on Thursday - I can't make it to the instore signing. I don't think that spare ticket of yours for the Thursday concert ever was used. You see, there were problems with the tickets ordered by "overseas" people. Frankly, those tickets weren't there. I myself had ordered 4 tickets - Lothar had ordered a ticket - and I know you ordered a ticket as well.
Well, when we got there, there was no record of those ticket sales - they didn't have them. They showed us a list of people for whom they held tickets. Neither Lothar nor I appeared on that list - and I took the trouble of scanning that list, and your name didn't appear on it either ....
Fortunately, with the assistance of both Gerald Westenra and Steve Abbott, Lothar and I (and my guests) got a decent seat after all.
As far as I am concerned though, from now on I will insist on tickets being sent to me at my address when I order them - Otherwise, I simply won't go. I don't tolerate the sort of amateurism that surrounded this ticket saga. Certainly not if it involves 100 pounds of my money.

Hi Gerrit,
I am so sorry to hear that you had a problem with the tickets. I didn't know that until now. It suggests that they needed to be picked up from the RFH Box Office which was my understanding all along. I made numerous enquiries on the night for various people and was led to believe that they would be available in St James's Church.
If you experience similar difficulties in future, let me know and I will book for you (and your guests). That way they will be posted to me and I can either give them to you on the day or forward them to you, whichever you prefer. The same goes for any other forum member from overseas who wishes to book for a UK event.

Hi I might be in the area at the time, have to see, hopefully the trains go my way if i do go, only two or three an hour you see. Do any of you know exactly where the performaance in the store will take place? Or will it stick out like a sore thumb and i can't miss it? I don't think i've ever mentioned it before but i'm partially sighted [since a few years ago], i have to do a bit of extra planning when travelling to some/certain places as a result. That's the reasons for the questions. Although being a Londoner and this event being where it is, i can't see [excuse that i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif] too many problems. If i can make it, should be something to look forward to on Tuesday, there isn't much else at the minute anyway [bit of football]. Thanks a lot Nick,
