Libera is a British boys choir, its members ranging in age from 7 to 14 years. This choir has just been confirmed as guests on two of Hayley's concerts. Just my luck, that one of those two concerts is at he Palladium on March 29. I particularly like the music produced by Libera - and the cpmbination of a choir of boy trebles backing the soprano voice of Hayley is a very exciting one. The news was published at the official Libera site (http://www.libera.org.uk/): ------------------------------------------------------------------------- March 29th at London Palladium & 31st at Eastbourne Congress. Libera are to appear as guests of Hayley Westenra who is on the UK leg of her world tour. The boys will be singing a part of the concert and backing Hayley. Tickets for all dates are available at Way Ahead box office and also at www.gigsandtours.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gareth

This is a good news/bad news situation. I love Libera - they are fantastic. that's the good news, the bad news is that I will not be at either of those concerts.

I too like Libera. I have their two albums. My favourite songs they do are 'Salve Me' and 'Mysterium'. Libera are going to release a new cd shortly. Robert Prizeman, who does a lot of arranging for the boys, has written the theme for Songs of Praise, if I'm not mistaken.
I did notice that when the 'Pure" programme was put on HWI that Ian Tilley is the musical director of the tour . Ian also works quite a bit w/ Libera.
It would be fantastic to see them and Hayley perform together. I wonder what songs they will backing Hayley with.

This news will help to fill up the London Palladium, too (all the other UK tour venues seem to be sold out anyway). Of course, unless they extend the concert length or Katherine Jenkins gives way, there may be less of Hayley at the two Libera venues...
