I have just listened to Hayley's interview on radio Classic Hits (thanks again Belinda!). She was on the phone from London. I took a few notes: - Sophie Westenra told the radio that Hayley was up for a Classical Brit Award - Dave, the interviewer, was on the phone with Sophie and didn't realize she was already at University - He told Hayley that Sophie should be her manager - Hayley giggled and said "Yes, she's the best sister in the world - I should hire her!" She added that she felt bad for not being around. "We're close" Hayley said. - Hayley mentioned that she has just returned from the Classical Brits Launch. She took a glass of wine there so she apologized for being a little giggly during the interview - She has a few days off - She explained what happened at the Classical Brits Launch (a few artists came on stage to perform, she drank wine, there was the nominees announcement). - She said how excited she was to be up for the Best Album award because it's very prestigious. She confirmed that she would be performing at this year's classical brits. It's a very special occasion for her and it would be really amazing to win this award she said. - The interviewer gave the important link again: www.classicalbrits.co.uk and Hayley explained that it only takes a couple of minutes to vote, the only request is to fill in a few details and click on her name. Only three days left to vote and all her "opponents" are trying to rally support so she would really appreciate if everyone could vote for her. - The interviewer asked who were the other nominees. Hayley said "Royal Scot Dragoons, Blake - a boyband, four of them! so yea [giggles] - Natasha,....gosh who else?". - She said she was very excited about the ceremony, which is in one month, 8th of May. She listed some of the performers: "Andrea Boccelli, Sarah Brightman, Bryn Terfel, Nigel Kennedy....myself [giggles]...Josh Groban as well...". - The interviewer asked Hayley who is going to accompany her at the ceremony. She replied that there was no one at the moment. He suggested her parents and she said it was a good point, maybe they should come over but they're quite busy - Dad is at work and Mum is studying. - The ended the interview by mentioning her 21st birthday. Hayley said : "It's a little bit overwhelming. Oh Gosh - I'm old!" Hope it helps! Don't forget that Hayley is on MoreFM tomorrow (8:50PM in the UK). Stephany

Thanks Stephany... I recorded Classic Hits on the link you gave from just after 9pm UK time (end of the Sports News) to after 9:30UK time i.e. for almost the whole of the time between your two posts i think. I've just replayed the first half hour of it and no Hayley! Lots of chat about Dancing of the Stars but no Hayley. Dave Baffled of Fareham

Hi Dave, When you click on the link I posted above, you can choose between Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. I thought there was no difference between the three so I didn't say anything but apparently...I was completely wrong! I did click on Christchurch so I suppose it was the one to choose I'm so, so, so sorry! Stephany

Hi Stephany, Ah yes, that must be the reason - I thought it would have been a National Station so I fell for that too and there wasn't much time to check. I saw Auckland on the box on that web page so i just thought it was an Auckland/National station, I was tricked by it! If the web page said "Choose which Station" or if all three were visible straight away, there would have been no problem. Disappointing though, if it was only heard in Christchurch. I will assume that More FM tomorrow www.morefm.co.nz/ will be the same (Canterbury) and in that case, it's a lot more obvious when you visit the web page! So 8:50pm British Summer Time. Cheers, Dave

The interview for MoreFM was very interesting because Hayley mentioned her new Japanese album Here's a list of things I remember: - They talked about her birthday, saying that there were many celebrities attending her 18th birthday. - She's going to participate to a charity event in Buckingham Palace very soon, it's for the The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts (The Prince will be attending, at least Hayley hopes so ) - She did a gig in Kensington Palace recently - She's looking forward to the Classical Brits because there are big names there. She said she's never very nervous, except when she meets actors from the TV series Coronation Street. She explained that she and her mum were starstruck the first time like "Oh my Goodness! I've just met..." - She mentioned the other nominees (she always lists the Royal Scot Dragoon Guards first!) - Her next album is in English and Japanese, she hopes that it will be released outside of Japan - They asked her to sing a verse in Japanese so Hayley sang a part of Nada Sousou - They thanked Hayley and explained how to vote for her, Hayley added that it would mean the world for her to win.
