I just watched the episode on BBC iPlayer after I downloaded it. I don't normally watch this show, but Hayley done well, even though she didn't win. I don't understand how the audience can vote for a winner when they haven't even tasted what they cooked! Anyway, I had a feeling that guy Jonathan would win, as the audience was mostly old women and I figured old women would prefer a man's voice to a woman's voice, regardless of his cooking skills lol. But Hayley did win a Ready Steady Cook Mug! It's not all bad!

We knew the outcome of the game before watching the show but it's fun seeing Hayley struggling with food Stephany

Would anyone who hasn't been able to watch this show on the BBC iPlayer like to watch Hayley and Jonathan's half hour from it in an unencrypted .wmv file? I'm sure it could be arranged... Dave Edit I've just remembered, people outside the UK (and Ireland?) cannot view the BBC iPlayer, so here you go: Ready Steady Cook - Part 1 of 3 (9 minutes+, 500 kbps, 34MB) Ready Steady Cook - Part 2 of 3 (9 minutes+, 500 kbps, 32MB) Ready Steady Cook - Part 3 of 3 (10 minutes, 500 kbps, 36MB) Thought I'd break it into 3 parts as some members have trouble downloading big files from my server at certain times of day - even these may be big enough to do that. Especially for Richard's benefit, their short duet is at the start of part 3.

Thanks so much for providing the show, Dave !
As soon as Ainsley mentioned that most of the audience were comprised of ladies from the Womens Institute, they would vote for Jonathan...without sampling any of the food!
It was lovely to see Hayley do a bit of cooking in the kitchen!

Thanks for that, Dave! I just watched the start of part 3, and I can tell that Hayley and Jonathan's duet was the highlight of the whole show. I might watch the rest of it later, but I'll probably save it for a rainy day. Now, where's the long-range forecast? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hi Dave, I nearly missed this as I had seen your original post before you updated it with the edit and downloads. When I logged on again I did not go back to 'old posts' so only twigged what had happened when I saw some replies that did not make sense to me ! A problem of an edit that is not a minor correction but a major change Graham

A problem of an edit that is not a minor correction but a major change Graham Hi Graham, Well in my original post, I invited anyone who would like to see the video files to let me know. I thought it reasonable to assume that anyone who saw my original post, who wanted these files and who missed my edit 45 minutes later would have asked for them in the thread soon enough and they would, of course, have had their attention drawn to my earlier edit.. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, Thanks very much for sharing your video coverage featuring Hayley and Jonathan on 'Ready Steady Cook'... I particularly appreciated seeing those as it wasn't possible for me to see the Programme on TV at the time when it was broadcast. It was very entertaining to watch indeed! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThanks! Andrew

Hello again everybody! I decided to watch the whole show this afternoon to get it over with, and I have to admit I really enjoyed it! I thought Hayley's dishes looked particularly appetising, so I'm feeling very hungry now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

I eventually got around to watching it just before lunch today. It served as a good appetizer! For a moment, I couldn't understand why Part 1 suddenly stopped playing. I then realised that it had reached the end but I couldn't believe I had been watching for nine minutes. This must surely indicate how much I had enjoyed it. At the risk of appearing foolish, exactly the same thing happened at the end of Part 2! By the end of Part 3, I was not so surprised but, admittedly the captions were a clue! Thanks for the videos, Dave. Roger
