Hello everybody! My name is Tristan, I'm 35 and I live in a small village in the southwest of Germany. Well, after reading here for a few years and now already looking forward to my 10th Hayley concert in Cork it's probably time to join this forum. First, a huge thank you to all the members for all the quick and complete information about her music I could get here until now. There seem to be nice people around here and I already talked to Karsten in Dublin in march, met Grant and another guy at Rhyl railway station in 2012 after the show of her Paradiso tour and you could find me among the people waiting for Hayley after her really outstanding performace at the Union Chapel in London last year.
I discovered Hayley Westenra through an articel in a magazine claiming that she's "the new Charlotte Church". And after listing to "Odyssey" for the first time I was blown away by her incredible voice. And during my very first concert (the christmas show in Dublin in december 2009)the shivers down my spine just didn't stop... and from thereon I try to get a ticket for at least one or two of her shows each year. I especially like the singer-songwriter songs in her live shows like "Sunny", "Both sides now" or "Bridge over troubled water".
And along the way to her shows I found out by chance that the UK is such a great place to spend your holidays or just to take a few days off from work.
Beside Hayley Westenra I listen to all sorts of music like Queen, Meat Loaf or even "real" classical stuff. Does anyone know Janine Jansen, a superb Dutch violinist? She has a record deal with Decca, too. Her and Hayley together on stage would be my personal highlight for all times, even if it is of course very unlikely...
Hope to see some of you in Cork
Tristan

Hi Tristan! Welcome to the forum. My name is Taylor. I'm 17, and I consider myself a fairly normal guy who lives in Alabama, in the southern U.S. Long story short, I found Hayley through a video game in 2008 and have been on the forum since 2011. I've really enjoyed the people here and the friends I've made, and I hope you do too. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Welcome Tristan. I hope to meet you at Cork. I might well have already met you, since I was at most of the concerts you mention. I've been a Hayley fan since 2004, when I saw her live for the first time, and she blew me away with the beauty of her voice and spirituality. There are good people here, and if you are a Hayley fan (as I'm sure you are), this is the place to be.

Hi Tristan, Welcome to the forum, at least as a new member. Took a look at page 24 of the Union Chapel thread, at Martindn's photo of waiting members, and see an unfamiliar face, likely to be you - in grey, looks to be a traveler, and about 35. Now that you are a member, I expect that you will be identified in pictures to come. BobS

Welcome Tristan Are you perhaps the gentleman who walked back to the tube station with Grant, Richard and me after the Union Chapel concert; in time for the last train but before Hayley came out? I will also be in Cork - looking forward to meeting you again. John

Hello Tristan, and welcome to the Forum! I was at the Union Chapel concert last year, so I may have met you already. I'm not going to Cork, but I hope to see you at another Hayley concert somewhere before too long. Best wishes from London, Richard

Greetings from Ireland Tristan, our paths must have crossed at at least one of those concerts, we may have talked at the Union Chapel back door if that's where you waited for Hayley, we were there for long enough. Best wishes from Dublin.
