I hope it is not KIRI No Thomas i'm joking, but is it not possible to send the members personal messages, so they can vote? Greetz JOYCE. Hi Joyce! Haha, I hope it's not Kiri's fault. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThere's no forum on Hayley's German website, it's just a guestbook. The only way of a personal message will be sending an e-mail to everybody. That wouldn't be a problem. But there aren't regular guests only and not everybody who reads the guestbook post hers or his e-mail-address or post at all. It would be nice my the message would be posted so that everybody is informed who visits the guest book. The guestbook had some problems with spam messages a few months ago so that almost nobody posted anything anymore. Now all the sent messages will be checked by the administrator before they will be posted. It seems they don't always know what they do. At least Mike Oldfield's "Music of the Spheres" is promoted on that website. So it will be updated a little from time to time. You can see the consequences of Hayley's abscence from Germany. It seems that even Hayley's record company in Germany doesn't really promote her like they would if she were more present. Thomas

According to Music Week, Hayley will not be performing at the Classical Brit Awards (although the performers list looks incomplete to me, with only three performers named so far). Jonathan Ansell and Blake are mentioned as performers at the launch event on April 8th. Let's hope Hayley has been inadvertently missed out or will be added (I'd imagine that Music Week has never heard of Hayley judging by some of the rubbish they promote on their web site! ) but so far it isn't good news. www.musicweek.com/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=1033706&c=1Stephany can you find any more about this press release? Hi Dave, Thank you very much for posting this. I just had a quick look around this press release and haven't found anything official to confirm what they're saying. No other announcement in other related magazines/newspapers either. Stephany

According to Music Week, Hayley will not be performing at the Classical Brit Awards... Hi Dave, According to a whisper that I heard on Saturday (thanks Ray!), the final decisions have not yet been made. Hayley may or may not be performing so don't give up hope yet. Even if she isn't, I have been assured that she will be there. Roger

Hi Roger
Thats reassuring news. It would be fantastic if Hayley is performing and even more fantastic if she wins. When we mentioned to her about the Brits on Saturday, the first thing Hayley did was to cross her fingers (on both hands) !
Regards
Mark

Roger Thanks for that news Roger, It would be great to see Hayley sing at the BRIT's but the fact that she will be there is enough to make it number 1 on my event calendar. Cheers Steve

Horrible the way these things lag behind isn't it? She might get to sing next year too, when Music of the Spheres wins best album. Katherine did it two years in succession, why not Hayley?

Hi All, As you may know, I have booked a ticket for the Classical Brits this year. I am on a visit to London from Wednesday May 7 (arrival date) till Monda May 12 (departure date).
I had already booked the Classical Brits (May 8), a day trip on May 10 to Oxford to meet Zoë Mace and her parents and Viva la Diva at the O2 arena on May 11.
I have now booked a performance of the Merry Widow at the London Coliseum, taking place on May 9. This is one of a series of 12 concerts by the ENO ( English National Opera), and among others it features Alfie Boe.
So I have my work cut out making arrangements so I am at each venue on time - still, it will be my busiest concert trip to England ever.
I hope I can greet some of you at the Royal Albert Hall this year, and hope that either Hayley or All Angels win the public vote.
An interesting bonus for me will be that this is the first time I will hear Andrea Bocelli perform live!
Gerrit

Roger Thanks Roger, I was hoping someone would pick up some interesting snippets of news on Saturday... and if we are lucky, next Saturday too! Reminder, everyone: Voting closes at 23:59 GMT on 11th April 2008So if you - or any of your (or my!) family, friends or neighbours (all of whom do I am sure love Hayley's music!) haven't yet voted, time is starting to run out. Let's do this thing! NZ members have you seen anything in the press about this? Some years, Welsh newspapers and even a TV Channel one year run campaigns for "their" singers and that's bound to help them to win sometimes. What about in NZ? Most Hayley fans in NZ will have no idea that they can vote this year and only the press can inform them of this! But who is going to inform the press? Cheers, Dave

Isn't it customary for the winners to perform at the Brits? Hello Martin! Last year most of the winners weren't even there, let alone performing! 37 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

But wait a minute -isn't it customary for the winners to perform at the Brits? I wonder what Hayley will sing? Hi Martin, No it isn't customary for the winners to perform. There is no correlation between the artists who are booked to perform and those who win one or other of the awards. Most of the performers will have been booked long before the results are known even by the CBA judges; possibly even before the nominations are known. If only the winners were to perform, we would know the outcome of some of the awards already (Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman for example). Having said that, it is possible that they may try to anticipate the winners in the hope that one or two of them might perform but there is no guarantee that they will get it right. As Richard mentioned, some of the winners may not even be there but you will still see a video of them being presented with their award on two giant screens in the auditorium. However, there is no need for disappointment at the non-appearance of any particular winner because there will be many well-known figures from the world of classical music who are there on the night whether they win an award or not. See you there! Roger
