Hello again everyone! I was browsing the Japanese site J-Wave and found someting else related to Hayley. It is not about the current tour in Japan. It's only a presentation of Hayley's favourite Japanese restaurant in London! She went there with the journalists on August 8, 2006. Hayley says it's a very comfortable place with a pleasant atmosphere. Perfect to relax and to eat well because they have high-class Japanese food. Hayley particularly likes the miso soup. You can see what she ordered on the picture below but I couldn't get the name of it. If one day we need to find a restaurant before a concert around there, at least we know which one to try Stephany

If one day we need to find a restaurant before a concert around there, at least we know which one to try That's a fabulous idea! Hayley's got a good taste. The food in the picture looks delicious. I love Sushi but unfortuneately I can eat it only when I'm on holiday. There's nothing suitable close to where I live...too rural. Thomas

Graeme Hi Graeme! She wore that gorgeous dress on a few occasions last year like on Toast NZ 2006. Watch my avatar! (hint, hint ) A shame to miss that detail. Thomas

Hi Stephany. I don't question that Miyama is a superb restaurant of which Hayley is extremely fond, but I wonder if it is indeed her "favourite" Japanese restaurant in London. Did she go on record stating this as fact or is this simply how Miyama is spinning it on that site?
Restaurants often attach to visiting celebrities and display their autographed photos prominently on the walls. The more noted the celeb the more conspicuous the pic as a rule. Hayley is popular and deserves to be featured there if that's what she wants, but did she consent to saying this was her No. 1 favourite in this category? That's quite an endorsement -- and one which could provoke jealousy from other fine Japanese eateries.

Hi All, Hmmmm. How many Japanese restaurants would there be in London I wonder?
As for me & marketing information, I'm afraid I blank out as soon as the Spiel starts. Note Spiel = Game. It's not serious...ie discount it.
If I may quote: "Let another's tongue praise you"
Now I wonder where I got that?
Graeme

Hi everyone, Graeme - there are many (very good) Japanese restaurants in London. I tried one or two with my family two years ago and their curry rice was absolutely delicious. I also love sushi like Thomas i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSteve, I'm not 100% sure about it but it looks as though it was Hayley's decision to take the crew of J-Wave to Miyama. No publicity intended from the restaurant. It's a place where she goes once in a while because she says she loves the atmosphere and also because they have excellent food. Who cares anyway? Hayley recommended it and that's the important thing. Stephany

Hi all, It looks as though there was a second episode on the J-wave website of this "guided tour" in London . This time, Hayley took the radio crew to a Japanese store situated near Picadilly Circus.
They took green tea and ate Japanese strange cakes. The store's manager said that when it opened, all the customers were Japanese. Now, 2 customers out of 8 are Britons - which is quite an achievement for them!! They seem to have a regular Kiwi customer as well Stephany
