Hello everybody! This is not directly related to Hayley but the City Council of Christchurch has plans to honour Kiwi celebrities with a Hollywood-style walk of fame. Not a bad idea to give tribute to a star like 'little old Hayley' The plan is being championed by city centre businesses to lure shoppers and tourists back to the centre from suburban malls. The scheme is supported by Christchurch City Council staff and will be put before councillors for approval as revamp plans progress. Christchurch property investor Antony Gough is leading the project as chairman of the Christchurch Central Business Association. Gough said the plaques would stretch along the mall from the Bridge of Remembrance to Colombo Street, and would celebrate famous local people and historic events. "We see it as having plaques on the ground that will have etchings of famous people or historic events. It is part of who is famous in Canterbury. "It will be a mixture of sporting, historical and celebrity figures. Christchurch is a special place with some very influential people," he said. The famous figures and events will be selected by a committee.
Stephany
