Hi everyone, I have bought the album 'Hayley Westenra' in HMV today. It is expensive. It is $230 (about US $29.6, British Pound 16.9, Euro $24.4, Aus $40.5, NZ $48.1). I think it is worthwhile. I am touched by this album. The songs are very beautiful. Thank you Hayley for recording this album. Cheers, Raymond

Well you've been early man. It was only yesterday that I finally got this album and it was priced at $280, $50 more expensive than it was two years ago...

I just got mine a couple weeks ago, along with "My Gift to You". I really like "Bright Eyes" and "Memory". Her sound in some of the songs was a little disappointing, especially on "Pie Jesu", and "Walking in the Air". There is a "yawn" to her voice in some places. However, in the Youtube video of "Pie Jesu", she sounds wonderful.

Hi Taylor
I am slightly envious of your current position.
Two new albums to listen to for the first time. What a pleasure to look forward to.
I remember receiving the same two albums (also with damaged cases) from cd.connection in the US along with the Celtic Woman DVD A New Journey.
I had to collect the parcel from the post office and I remember sitting in the car and going through the fragments of the cases to check the discs were undamaged, which thankfully they were.
May you get many years of pleasure from the music on these two discs.
Just think, you may still be listening to those two discs in thirty or forty years time and reminiscing on some forum about how you got them..when Hayley was young and you were young..Enjoy, young man, Enjoy, Take pleasure.

I realize that this is not terribly exciting news to long time fans, but my 2001 "Hayley Westenra" CD just arrived today. It was reasonably priced and has the two bonus tracks. Were the two bonus tracks widely available? This CD is a New Zealand issue. At any rate, I am thrilled.

There was just the one standard issue. I think the two tracks were labelled as bonus because they are "special"...the NZ national anthem sung in English and Maori, and a wonderful live cover of "Amazing Grace"...complete with a nice introduction and bagpipes. Enjoy!

Thanks Joe. I should have realized that "Hayley Westenra" was released exclusively in New Zealand. I guess I went to school just to eat my lunch!

Thanks Joe. I should have realized that "Hayley Westenra" was released exclusively in New Zealand. I guess I went to school just to eat my lunch! I went to school to get other peoples lunches. I am a little bit envious of your current position in relation to Hayley's albums, you still have the joy of hearing them for the first time ahead of you, a lovely experience. I remember opening up that album for the first time and the joy it brought and it still does.
