Hello from Germany,
my name is Bernd, which is a short form of Bernhard, Bernard or Bernado and I live in a small community south of Frankfurt/Main. Last year I came across Hayley on Youtube searching for songs from Dame Vera Lynn and one song suggestion was "We´ll Meet Again" by Hayley Westenra. I was not only thrilled by the melody but from the voice from Hayley. There are not so many singers worldwide with such an angelic and crystal clear voice. Subsequently I listened to many other songs from Hayley and one of my favorite song is "Pokarekare Ana". Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to attend a concert of her, hoping to visit one in the near future.
Hayley is not the only singer I like. I listen to Country-Songs (Reba McEntire/USA, Terri Clark/Canada, Tania und Lee Kernaghan/Australia, Beccy Cole/Australia) and French Chansons (Edith Piaf, Barbara, Gilbert Becaud, Francoise Hardy and from the present singers Maître Gims, Soprano and Claudio Capéo). Furthermore I like the music from taiwanese Teresa Teng (鄧麗君), who is very populare on Taiwan, Mainland China and Japan.
I hope to get here a lot of new information about Hayley and hope to have an interesting exchange of ideas.
Bernd

Hallo, Bernd! I am from the US, as well, just outside of Seattle, Washington. I have been taking German lessons using Babbel for the past couple years, so I had to practice using it! Haha!
If you like Teresa Teng, you will enjoy hearing Hayley sing her songs, especially The Moon Represents my Heart! I think there was another song she sang by her, as well. I think it was Sweet as Honey.

Hello Bernd,
Welcome to the group. I'm from Leicester in England. Pokarekare Ana was the first song I ever heard Hayley sing, and that was live when she was 16 years old. ! I've been a fan ever since. We are not sure what she is doing at the moment, except being locked down in New Zealand. We haven't had any new music from her for a while, but we live in hope.

Dear All, many thanks for your friendly words. Libby : ich weiß nicht wie Babbel arbeitet, hoffe aber, daß Du nicht an der deutschen Grammatik nicht verzweifelst ( I do not know how Babbel works, but I hope, that you do not despair with the german grammar). I have heard that singing a song in a foreign language is good for the pronunciation and the correct accentuation (maybe you can try it with "german schlager"). Yes "Sweet as Honey" is the other song Hayley sung in chinese about 10 years ago when she was in Taipei. This is a very popular song from Teresa Teng, which I like very much and the original title is 甜蜜蜜 ( Ti**SPAM? PLEASE REPORTn Mì Mì ). martindn: We should hope that Hayley works in these difficult days very hard , as other artists do it, and surprise us with a new album soon. Bernd

German grammar is a bit difficult, and because of that I have been neglecting my lessons lately. I do my reviews sometimes, though. LOL I'm glad you provided the translation, although I understood some of it.
Hayley also sang that song in Taiwan in 2016!
