So I happened across this youtube channel while watching other nerdy niche stuff 😂 It's brilliant really 😂 The lyric changes are the cherry on top! Her voice reminds me a bit of Hayley of the Pure era. Especially in this song cover:

I thought this was so cool! It made my day! I saw the song title and I was listening to the voice (quite like a younger Hayley). Then at about 50 seconds in...a familiar beat starts...the same song title made famous by Haddaway!

Yes, it's very good, thanks Paige, it could be the start of a whole new pop music genre! I notice that the instrumentals are from the version by Cornelius Link, and both were uploaded on the same day, May 25th. So, I suspect that there is a connection there, could both be the same person? But anyway, back on topic, Hildegard von Blingin' whoever she may be, has a lovely voice and has already produced three additional medieval covers I see, the latest with her own instrumentals. Judging by the huge number of plays and likes in three weeks, I think she is on to something good. Reveal thine-self, Hildegard!  |

I think she and Cornelius Link are two different people, as "he" has commented on some of her videos. This genre (I guess we can call it that!) has a little corner of YouTube over the last few years I've come across a few "medieval" reworkinfs of songs. Sometimes they're just instrumental, sometimes with vocals! I love it, as it combines my love of music and history! Oh, and the number of views she's gotten on her 4 or 5 videos in just a few weeks is quite amazing actually!! And the comments on each of the videos are hilarious, too 😂 |
