Hello, I'm Robert, 24, a long-time lurker on this forum who thought I might join. I'm known online by the aliases WoLong and Thoronar. I've been a huge fan of Hayley's since I first heard her two Japanese albums when I was 17. I do not believe any other music has ever had such a profound effect on me - it seemed to be sounds of paradise from another world - I felt as if my mind had been converted from black and white to color. Like many people here, I'm loyally and patiently waiting to see when or if she makes new music.


I'm also very active musically, and play the tin whistle and sing low bass.

Hi, Robert, nice to meet you! I love how you describe how you felt after discovering Hayley's voice/music.

I'd be interested in hearing your voice, as I do appreciate the bass voice. In fact, the only reason I ever listened to Pentatonix at all was to hear Avi Kaplan's low range. I haven't listened to them in ages, though, and only just now discovered he's no longer a member! Haha

Not sure which social media sites your "aliases" can be found (I tried both those names on twitter, and lots of things came up, so not sure which one is you, if any; the Wolong one in particular was confusing LOL). Hopefully all this pandemic and other craziness goes away soon, so Hayley and other artists can get back into the "swing" of things!

Thank you Libby! Avi Kaplan's great, I think he's one of the only bass singers in popular music since Paul Robeson. I'd love to share my singing but I unfortunately don't have any good recordings at my disposal at the moment.

I fortunately do not use major social media sites like instagram or twitter but those are my usernames for forums and youtube and so forth. I have a very minor youtube channel to which I post some music from Hayley and am going to start uploading my own music sooner or later. And yes, there's a crazy dude who goes by wolong who's famous in the cryptocurrency community for pulling off stunts to manipulate the market for profit, you might've gotten him in the search, lol.

Yeah, it'll be exciting to see what she produces. She must have changed quite a bit as a result of moving to California, and that'll definitely reflect in her music. Might be quite a surprise.
