Here's probably the most impressive act of the season so far (after 2 episodes); Roberta is only 10 years old, but she sounds at least as mature as Lady Gaga does in the song! And, I would have thought she was maybe around 12-14. But then I'm not the best judge of ages, being extremely young-looking myself.

I haven't watched any shows from this current AGT season 15 yet, so I was surprised to see that two of the judges were replaced. I liked Heidi Klum on past seasons so I was happy she came back. I had to look up the name of the new judge. It seems that these auditions were recorded about the beginning of March. I won't spoil anythng, but some curious info about further auditions are on Wikipedia... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%27s_Got_Talent_(season_15)Now, back to Roberta Battaglia, the gifted Canadian singer. Good that her terrible nerves calmed as she paced through the song. Towards the end, her diction tended to fade but overall it was a very good performance. She is known professionally as Roberta B and I was pleased that she does a lot of charity work around the Toronto area. Here is her website... www.robertab-official.com

Yes, she's only 10, so I suppose it's inevitable her technique wouldn't be absolutely perfect, even if her tone is quite jawdropping. I had been wondering if the show would be on at all this year, but glad to know it still worked out. I know American Idol was completed virtually (my mom watches that, but I don't anymore). I also wonder how the danger/acrobatic acts would be able to audition/perform virtually. I guess we'll see! I also enjoyed the dog act that performed the other night.

I watched some of the repeated show tonight and was very pleased to catch Roberta’s turn! Ooh I got goosebumps thinking about what songs she might sing for the live shows!

I hope they choose good ones. Too often really good singers get so-so songs to sing, and end up not making it. And, yes, I believe wholeheartedly that the producers control the show a great deal, choosing songs, and creating the scenes and sets for the acts. I don't believe the acts get a ton of say. I suppose they might give the singers a list of certain songs they'd like them to sing. I also believe Simon Cowell's influence is there. I was convinced that Simon had a big say in what songs Kodi Lee, last year's winner, sang. Even when he performed on the AGT Champions show, he sang a One Direction song. LOL so there you go.
Well, whoever chooses the songs, I hope they choose a good one. The past several years have seen lots of fans getting tired of singers winning, as well as kid acts, no matter how good they are. They're always griping, "there are shows for singing". Umm, yeah, ones that don't allow 10 year old kids or anyone over 30! They think they're so smart. LOL Luke Islam from last season also had a very beautiful voice. But he was up against Kodi. He didn't make it on the Champions show, either. I can't say whether I hope Roberta wins yet, since we haven't seen all of the acts yet. But I am hoping she at least makes it to the final.
