Sorry to hear about Peter.
I met Peter at the National Concert Hall back in 2012. There was a big gathering that night, with a lot of new faces. The meeting with him was brief, but he seemed like an absolute gentleman.
I really enjoyed his concert posts. He penned them in an unique way and had a lovely way with words. His reviews were in great detail, remembering an unbelievable amount. He had a certain knack for adding little details, and filling in the gaps for us to relive the evening again and again.
Condolences to his family and friends.
Farewell Peter.
RIP.

Thank you for the great pictures Paddy.
I'll have a look through mine over the next few days - I've quite a lot and Peter must be on some of them!

Hi Paddy & everybody else here, What a wonderful photo this really is... It really captures Peter’s delight of meeting with Hayley. I’m very sad to learn of Peter’s passing. He was indeed a true gent and I enjoyed meeting him a number of times at Hayley’s concerts. I remember Peter telling me that Hayley and Sarah Brightman were his all time favourite female vocalists. On one occasion I was wearing a navy Harris tweed jacket which had a maroon silk lining. Peter struck up a conversation about the lining of my jacket - commenting that he really loved: “the particular shade of claret”!!! He also really seemed to appreciate the: “Westenra of Christchurch NZ” tartan too. Peter will be very fondly remembered. Andrew

Looks like I might need a bit of help here Not posted pictures for ages and no longer use Photobucket. I've found a couple of images of Peter that I'd like to post and am hosting them in DropBox but don't seem to have got the hang of the "insert image" button. Grant

To insert an image when creating a post, tap or click the picture frame icon (found on the right side of the row of icons). In the popup box, simply paste the URL of the photo. I have used postimages.org to host my images after leaving Photobucket and am quite satisfied. I look forward to seeing more photos of our dear friend, and indeed any other photos you wish in future to share. - Joe

Hi Joe
Thanks, but I've been doing that and clicking on "copy image address" as the forum advises, but from Drop Box it hasn't worked.
I'll try hosting the pictures elsewhere and try again tomorrow.

Thanks Grant, nice to see you back, I couldn't help so I didn't interrupt, shame to see the loss of so many great photographs over the years due to photo hosting hostage taking, especially at a time like this.
Best wishes to all our HWI members wherever you may be.

Glad you like them Comet. Here are a few more. These were taken before Hayley's concert at Buxton Opera House on 4th April 2008. Some of you may remember this was a special year for Hayley and I seem to remember the Opera House staff being very supportive and not kicking us out. My last image of the night was taken at around 11pm! Will sort a few more out for tomorrow. Enjoy Grant

Wonderfully historic group shots Grant, spectacular and nostalgia inducing.

spending my C.19 lockdown time scanning 35mm negatives from the 1980s on a new Plustek 8100 scanner, lots of Nada Sousou moments.

Hello Grant!
I am so glad you were able to find a different host for your photos! And what beautiful photos they are...it is my wish that similar concerts and gatherings will happen again.
Thank you very much.
