This year's America's Got Talent has been pretty good this year, with the amazing young opera girl, Emmane Beasha, that I made a separate thread for, a fantastic young Broadway-type singer named Luke Islam, a young singer-songwriter named Benecio Bryant, who comes from a city very close to mine in the Seattle area.
But the BEST act this year, and the favorite to win, mine included, is Golden buzzer recipient Kodi Lee. He is a 22 year old singer and piano player who is blind and has autism and Savant Syndrome, which means they are extremely good at certain things. I'm not absolutely sure, but I think the character in The Rain Man was supposed to have had this. Also, Dr. Shawn Murphy on the current hit show, The Good Doctor has it.
It isn't just that he's a good singer and musician; the WOW factor for me is that he really surprises and almost shocks you with how good he is. His first audition on the first episode wowed me, and I never saw an act since that I was that impressed with, although there were some really good ones. Simon totally and completely melted during his latest performance last week (see 3rd video) - I have NEVER seen Simon look like that before, EVER!

Here, he sings Bridge Over Troubled Water, which was specially approved by Paul Simon to use on the show, because he was so impressed with Kodi's audition!
And finally, here is his amazing performance of a song by BGT star Calum Scott, You Are the Reason. I have had this song stuck in my head all week! Watch for Simon's face!
