I watched the program yesterday evening. Alfie Boe was there. I know he's performed for one of these shows before, might have been just the 4th of July show. Too bad Hayley probably won't come back to perform again, at least not for a while, anyway. The stand-out performance for me was Cynthia Eviro singing Requiem for a Soldier, from Band of Brothers. I first heard this piece of music during the lady's story (Michelle Baugh) prior to Hayley's Pie Jesu performance in 2011. The whole story was very emotional (most of them are, I suppose, but that one will always stand out in my memory), and all the music played throughout the narration was very moving, this one no exception. So, when I heard it performed last night by this very fine singer, I was very pleased. Cynthia is a performer in the famous broadway show, The Color Purple. I like her voice here. (The girl in the still is a daughter of a fallen soldier featured during Cynthia's performance.)
