I absolutely love that she sang Never Saw Blue, and how she seems to be revisiting her earlier work. Can't wait to hear recordings from the concerts!!! I dont know how to explain it, but Hayley also seems to be more an peace, more relaxed than before. Does anyone else notice it? Yes, I was just thinking she looked much happier than she has for a while... including that selfie pic where she was telling us she is actually really content, despite appearances. In these photos, she's much more convincing. In fact, I don't recall seeing such a genuine smile from her anywhere for a few years. I know what it's like not to be able to smile the way you used to. You want to, almost need to, but you just can't find it in you.

Thanks to everyone again for sharing these great photos and the two performances from today.
I have to say, that Hayley’s performance of ‘Never Saw Blue” was as captivating and as enchanting for me today as it was 12 years ago. Perhaps more so today.

Jim, you just have to embed the facebook post (copy the url in the url box above, or sometimes you can right click and copy the link that says the date and time of the post; that's actually what I usually do, but today that link was not clickable) to get them to play here. What a glamorous intro! Hayley does not appear in this photo, but Tim and Steve do. And Ewan's behind the phone. https://www.instagram.com/p/BbT51HsHxa0 The "1st violin guy" is the one on the opposite side of the photo raising his hand. And, I'm betting that the empty chair between the guitars at the front is where Ewan sits.

I almost feel bad for enjoying things and laughing and smiling wthout him. Eventually, hopefully sooner than later, I'll reach Hayley's point of contentment.

I’m pleased Hayley is smiling more now, I hope she continues to do so and continues to be happier in her life from now onwards.

Very sorry that this happened to you, too. I feel sad for Hayley, too, but at the same time, we've got some amazing, meaningful songs out of it that so many people can relate to and be comforted and healed by, including some of us. WWEMH describes her feelings of sadness and loneliness, and a prayer. Greener Lands tells the sad story itself. Yet, she tells us "she found a new day" and that "goodbyes lead you to greener lands". Me, I've yet to find anyone at all, let alone break up with them, so I often say the chorus of WWEMH to myself. There were a couple times when I felt like it was about to happen, but got rejected, after all. I was fooled, and yet let myself be fooled. But, if it just ends in sorrow anyway, is it really worth longing for? Yet I still feel sorrow anyway. I need someone to echo my heart, as well. At 33, I constantly fear that I will end up living my whole life without it, and I'm not sure I can cope with that. So, I sing Hayley's prayer. "Who will echo my heart?, ""... I ask can you hear me for all is unclear I reach out blindly I pray that you're near"

Me too Libby, I often feel that way especially seeing so many people I know happily getting married etc, at 25 I’m beginning to feel will I ever meet anyone. But then I also know people who have been through horrendous break ups.
I find WWEMH a brilliant song for echoing those feelings and uncertainty. I’m trying to remain positive that if I’m meant to meet someone I will one day, I think it’s important to try to be as positive as possible.
I hope we get a recording of her new song. I think that hope will be all that gets me through what’s set to be a horrible weekend with very long shifts at work 😳.

They're so pretty, and so is her dress! And, thanks Libby. I understand how you feel. Even at 26 I sometimes feel like time is running out, especially since I thought he was the one.

I agree with their statement. That's the same location of the press conference from 2 years ago, I believe, with the Mini cooper. A different colored car, though. Here are some more photos from another China Times article; aren't they stunning? I think this might have been posted before, but will do just in case:

This article from FOCUS TAIWAN NEWS CHANNEL looks as though it was written in English. 2017/11/10 22:12:30 Photo courtesy of MNA Taipei, Nov. 10 (CNA) The New Zealand cross-over soprano and songwriter Hayley Westenra will perform her new song "Not Alone," some Western and Mandarin classics, and other songs she has written during her upcoming concert tour around Taiwan. Famed for her angelic and pure voice, the 30-year-old pop and classical singer will also be teaming up with Taiwan National Choir tenor Chen Zhang-jian (陳章健) for the series of concerts, she said during a press conference in Taipei on Friday to preview the tour. She will give her first concert at the National Concert Hall in Taipei on Sunday, followed by one at the National Theater in Taichung on Nov. 15, before making her final stop at the Performing Arts Center in Pingtung County on Nov. 19. Among the songs Westenra will perform during the three concerts are "Who Will Echo My Heart?" "I Dreamed a Dream," "Beauty and the Beast," "Bridge over Troubled Water," "Sweet As Honey," and "The Moon Represents My Heart." The singer-songwriter gained international fame after releasing her 2003 album "Pure," which sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. (By Lo Yuan-shao and Isabel Wang) Enditem/ls#
