Yes, thanks Jim! That was a lot! I always like to find and post photos, but this time I'm glad you did them all. I wouldn't have time to post them all individually here tonight! LOL I probably would have just embedded the FB post. And thanks for very much, Taylor, for that tutorial on instagram stories, etc. I doubt that I will ever do it, even if I ever get one of those "smart"phones, but it was helpful for informational purposes. Since it seems Hayley is back in Taipei, however, I would wager that that story was actually posted the day it was taken. She simply came back! She would have to be in Pingtung tomorrow for rehearsals, of course.

And... the story(ies?) for today! How do you tell if it's one or 2 stories if you can't view it "properly"?

Here are the videos via the embedded FB posts (it's very easy to post ): The photos in action! Plus this time we hear the choir singing Pokarekare Ana for Hayley (they speed it up near the end. LOL) This is a very fun performance that ends with those dancers handing her the flowers (as seen in the images on the previous page):

Here are the videos via the embedded FB posts (it's very easy to post ): Thanks for posting those Libby. I had posted some videos but these seamed to need different rules. I had watched them but gave up after a couple of tries on each one.

Some great pics of Hayley on the train to Pingtung for the concert tonight...from Hayley's Instagram Stories shared on Hayley Westenra Fans Taiwan's Facebook page... This pic is one of the +2 photo from above... ...and this pic below is also from HWFT. This is is the Pingtung Performing Arts Center. Frank Lin reports that a sound check has taken place. The concert begins at 3:30 PM in Pinngtung--about one hour from now (2:30 am EDT)

I had watched them but gave up after a couple of tries on each one. Yes, these work different than the youtube videos, as far as posting them as a video on this forum. I would guess there is a way to capture the right url or whatever in order to get it to embed like a youtube video, but I think it's much easier to embed the FB post itself. On most FB posts in general, since most of them I see appear in a timeline, rather than viewing each one individually, I get the url by right-clicking on the date/time of the FB post. However, these were a little different in that when the video was clicked on to play, it enlarged and took up the whole screen, and somehow the date/time was no longer clickable. Instead, I was able to copy the url that was in the url box at the top of my browser. Then when I'm going to embed it here, I go up to the icon that looks like this: </> on the far right. Then click on the big f FB icon, and paste the link there. I guess it's a little complicated, but once you know what to look for, it's easy.

Hey, guess what! I was able to see the instagram stories today, ON instagram!! When I first went to my homepage or timeline, or whatever, I was a bit confused, because the photo at the top seemed centered more, and then on the side to the left, what do I see? Stories! Hayley's was on top! I'm not even using Chrome; all that's different is that there have been updates on Firefox recently... I guess this must be one of the good things about the updates! I don't like everything. LOL There must be some nasty pollution if Hayley's wearing one of those surgeon masks. When I see skating events held in China or Japan, there will often be lots of people in the audience with those masks on. I know the city where many of the Chinese skaters train or have trained is Harbin, which has very bad pollution. Nevertheless, the 2010 Olympic pairs' champions came from there.

I have been able to see the Instagram stories for the last 2 days and I am using Microsoft edge. So perhaps it is Instagram that has been updated. Hayley called that photo incognitointiawan maybe that she needed to pass unnoticed due to being a bit late. Hayley seems to have many young enthusiastic fans if there were a lot around she would not want to appear rude by having to push through.

Thanks Jim for keeping us up to date so quickly on Hayley's trip to Taiwan, what a wonderful reception they give Hayley. this Bel Canto reference by them is interesting to see in the publicity material and reports. Hayley sounded great on that piece of video taken in the school hall (the one with Hayley in a red check shirt) Thanks also to Libby and all you others who have contributed to the News from Taiwan, well done. I am looking forward to the return home of our visiting HWI member from New York, hope you had a pleasant and fruitful trip. I am of course completely baffled by the translations "Sea sister" and "The goddess of the sea" and various other phrases, but the Taiwanese seem to love her dearly and that's what counts.
