Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity - reorganization

The Dame Vera Lynn School for Parents changed its name on June 29th. 2015 to The Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity, to better reflect its aims and objectives according to their annual report last year. This is part of an ongoing reorganization to enable them to recover from a substantial reduction in funding because of their involvement with the major charity Scope, an involvement that is therefore now being gradually ended.

From the 31 March 2016 Annual Report and Accounts, signed 6 November 2015, here is a list of their main supporters. The charity is, of course, controlled by the 7 Trustees.

I've created this sub-board as there will likely be quite a lot of interest by the media in Dame Vera and her charity this year, in view of her forthcoming 100th. birthday on March 20th, and the major fund raising concert in her honour that's being discussed in the concerts board and will involve Hayley.

There may be some overlap between the concerts board and charities sub-board on this but we'll do our best to keep things orderly.
