Some would see this an a wonderful honor, and it probably is. Nevertheless, I'm stuck wondering: Why the heck is she ranked #30 when she clearly should be in the top 5? Thanks NZ Woman's Weekly, you folks really know what you're doing.

Hi Dori,
I first saw the list as part of the top 30 posts.

And I thought : There is not one man here.
Are Kiwi's a lot of man haters....what is going on?

Then I woke up....phew.

I always wonder how such a list is made up....in the street...shopping centres....hands up in parliament.....JCI meetings.....at rock concerts....tele marketing surveys.....Hayley's Concerts.

I'd prefer to see the result of the last one mentioned....definitely No. 1 then.

Okay, that list is just plain nutty!

With all due respect to pregnant-at-16, Aussie-born Kiesha Castle-Hughes (#2) and has-lived-abroad-most-of-her-life Dame Kiri (#22), how did they beat out acclaimed filmmaker Jane Campion (#59) whose NZ-based career has enriched the culture enormously?

Sounds to me like it's just a silly popularity contest run by the "mean girls".

I think you're right Belinda. There is no particular order. Otherwise Hayley should be found closer to the top of the list.
