I suspect that they used the seven sisters rather than the actual white cliffs of dover because they are much more picturesque. If not then what a gaff!! Martin

Beachy Head! So, if I ever get around to visiting Kent in England (since I live in the far younger (and probably less interesting) Kent in Washington state, USA, maybe I could visit the White Cliffs of Dover! But, I don't think I'd have time to do everything in one trip! I'd also like to visit Cornwall and London, of course. I don't see how I'm going to make one trip, let alone 2 or 3! Then I'd like to take one of those river cruises through Europe. And visit New Zealand, wherein of course there are quite a few spots I'd want to see, as well. And plenty of places around the US and Canada I have yet to see, too! I'm exhausted just thinking about it all.

Here are some tweets confirming Hayley's appearance. I bet Hayley waits till no earlier than the day before to say. Oh, I'd like to be proved wrong, but there's not a very good record at the moment to have much of an argument. Lucky if she tweets 3 times before then, for that matter. They have been reposting these tweets at least every other day, and Hayley retweeted it a couple of days ago. The day after the Road Trip post, forgot what day that was.

There's still no mention of this concert on Hayley's official website, but the last concert with Bryn Terfel at the Royal Festival Hall was only added two days before the event! Richard

Good heavens, that's a lot of people! Mostly ones I've never heard of (besides Hayley!). Just Aled, Russell Watson, Blake, Alan Titchmarsh, and that's about it.
I wish there could be some way to hear what Hayley sings. I hope she would sing We'll Meet Again, but even if she does, I doubt we'll get a video. We're usually lucky to get pictures from charity events.

There is a mixture of singers, actors, dancers, TV presenters etc. I imagine many of them will make only a brief appearance on stage, perhaps to introduce another act. I am hoping that the artists announced early will make a more substantial contribution to the evening's entertainment It is a near certainty that 'We'll Meet Again' will feature in the show, and I don't see anyone better placed than Hayley to sing it. I will have my camera with me, but doubt that I will have much opportunity to use it.

There are a lot of requests in the facebook comments for this to be televised, or at least recorded for later commercial release. I don't think live broadcast is likely as it would appear in the schedules well in advance and that could adversely affect ticket sales. A DVD seems unlikely too as it's a one-off performance so it might be difficult to correct any 'mistakes' without keeping the audience late into the evening for partial re-runs. But I wouldn't be completely surprised to see an announcement once it's sold out, or on the concert night, of a recording for later transmission of highlights on TV, I hope so anyway. As I mentioned in the Dame Vera thread, we already know that BBC TV will be broadcasting a 100th. birthday tribute show later this year, and that doesn't seem to be a concert highlights show, it may be a repeat of a broadcast a few years ago - Hayley appeared in that one - and I suppose it may be updated and concert excerpts might be added. Here's the final segment of that broadcast, which ends marvellously with the famous Hayley duet with Dame Vera of We'll Meet Again. Cheers, Dave

There is even a TV advert. Doesn't mention Hayley though.

The show is now 9 days away, on the 9th of March. I hope we can at least see a photo or 2 from the press. And, I hope there's more to come with Hayley this year (the album is obviously are biggest hope, but concerts are nice, too). A little bird (named Frank) told me another concert in Taiwan might be in the works, so we might at least have one.
