Good Lord! 47 times for one and 70+ for another?! If only I had enough money to attend all those concerts! Most of the concerts I go to are birthday or Christmas gifts because they're relatively expensive. LOL I know. ONLY 47, Richard?? Oh, you poor thing! LOL I know Grant is way over 70, because I remember hearing about his 70th concert, and that was several years ago. Then again, her last UK concert is over 3 years ago, so her last UK concert is several years ago. But I know it was before the Union Chapel one. I have never received a concert ticket as a gift before! I don't ever expect that to happen, either. My next concert is likely to be very, very expensive. That will hopefully be Sarah Brightman's. I plan on splurging and sitting as close to the front as possible. Andrea Bocelli, I could tolerate being farther away. Sarah Brightman (and possibly Mario!), I can't tolerate being far away. I hope she announces her album and/or more concerts soon! That sounds exciting, Libby! I hope you can get a front seat! The Loreena Mckennitt concert I just attended was an early Christmas gift, and when I saw Kristen Chenoweth it was a Birthday present. I got lucky when I saw Josh Groban, my friends mom got her two tickets (for what reason I don't remember) and my friend needed someone to go with and knew I was a big fan like her Anyway, I'm certainly looking forward to hearing whatever she's going to sing at this concert!

Then again, I'm pretty sure if I see her once, I'll want to see her again even more... the road to 70 has to start somewhere.

It's already tomorrow in NZ, so the acts are rehearsing for the first concert on Thursday. This is Stan Walker's post. Coincidentally, he is starring in "Hayley's movie", The Stolen (which is not about German desserts spelt incorrectly). Too bad he won't get to meet up with Hayley in Christchurch (he's in the other 2 concerts). Stan Walker is the one with the smug-looking "duck face". Hey, speaking of British spellings, isn't the word "spelt" also some sort of wheat? http://www.instagram.com/p/BN-kjvLjLi_ This is gonna be fun

Hey, speaking of British spellings, isn't the word "spelt" also some sort of wheat? Interesting what my dictionary says. The past participle of the verb to spell is spelt, but sometimes "spelled" is used, chiefly in North America. It has several meanings. Spell/spelt 1. "To form words using the correct combination of letters". 2. "To amount to, or mean, ie crop failure would spell famine for the whole region. 3. "To name or write the letters of a word in order" spell/spelled 4. "To give a brief rest to" 5. "To relieve for a time" 6. "To rest from work or activity for a time" Spelt (meaning grain), is of course a noun, not a verb. Martin D

Ross, the initial article about the event does not list Stan as being in Christchurch, but in the other 2 locations. It could be wrong, of course, but I know it says that, since I just looked the other day. Martin, I'm well aware of how we spell it in NA. I just used spelt to make a humorous point on the different spellings. I think very few Americans use spelt. Having been online with Brits a lot, as well as reading books written by British authors, I feel I'm more likely to use words like that.

Hayley is now in New Zealand, ready for Saturday's concert. I've also posted this in the Social Media thread. Richard

Is it just me, or have we seen this picture before? Her hair is darker and shorter than the picture she just shared from the hair studio.

Guys, does the Cricket World Cup ring any bells? I mean, it was almost 2 years ago, but still... she's done practically nothing since then. Only what, 5 concerts since then, and 4 of them were this year? Here you go; different photo, same "shoot":
