Hi everyone
Did any of you see girl group Zyrah (Rose) on BGT last night? I think they are great; I love 'I See Fire' and think they did a brilliant job, they are a bit crossover sounding I think. It said they were signed to a record label and were dropped - I wonder if this was Decca?

No, missed it but if anyone is interested here they are : At least if they've already been dropped it won't be a novel experience to them when Cowell does the same after their first album ! For what it's worth former winner Jai McDowall has tipped Beau Dermott to win : Another Connie Talbot maybe ? (i.e. will finish second !)

There was an interesting contestant in last night's semi-final. A woman called Kathleen Jenkins whose name reminds us of someone else. What are the chances eh ? Yes, you've guessed it she happens to be a singer ! Not only that but amazingly she also comes from Wales but there the similarity ends. She doesn't have blonde hair. Mind you the other one doesn't either but I digress. Of course this is all coincidence. I mean it's not as if Mr Cowell would try to cash in on another singer's popularity is it ?! I mean, as if ! He wouldn't be that devious would he ? Or would he ? Forgive me, I'm just an old cynic. Here's her performance: Kathleen finished third so doesn't make the final unless the judges give her a wildcard. Of course there are other singers later in the week and I wouldn't be totally surprised if one of them comes from New Zealand and is called Aislee Westenrock. I wouldn't put it past Mr C.

Do you think Simon cares about Hayley after she got dumped from Jai MacDowell's album!? Then Jai himself got dumped, of course.

Hello folks! I've changed the title of this thread to "Britain's Got Talent 2016", so it covers all performers who appear in the current series. Richard

In last night's semi-final we even had someone who looked like KJ ! Unfortunately Rachael didn't make it through to the final and I thought she was the best singer so far. Mind you she should be. She's a professional West End performer and a former actress in Coronation Street. Strange that Mr Cowell didn't mention that ! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachael_WoodingWhat this show needs is a new judge. Someone with honesty and integrity with vast experience of variety shows and unlike the present lot, someone held in high regard by the public !

We're getting Simon this year, too, so you're no longer alone. LOL Not a single America's GT judge is actually an American, which seems a little pathetic. I mean, I don't dislike all of the judges, nor am I all that crazy about them, but I just find it ridiculous that not one judge could be American. We did have just one the last 2 seasons, but he has left. He was an improvement on the horrendous sour puss, Piers Morgan, that's for sure. I will say that I do like Simon better than Piers.

I listened to all those ladies, and they all sounded really good. I didn't care for the Wicked song, but Beau's was definitely the most impressive, due to her age. Definitely preferable to Jackie Evancho. I thought Kathleen and Rachael were both excellent too. Kathleen's expression was a bit odd at times.

In last night's semi I thought Zyrah Rose put in the best performance yet they finished 8th out of 9 which just shows what a bad judge I am of "talent !" With only 2 semis to go I haven't seen an act get through which makes the final worth watching. 2016 not a vintage year for BGT I fear ! At this rate the Queen will be taking her knitting to the Royal Variety Show ! At the end Cowell made a crass remark that Zyrah Rose was like caviar when people really liked spagbol which is what he wants to turn them into i.e. dumb them down and make them as bad as everyone else ! No I think I prefer caviar !! Here's their performance with the judges' comments. From the audience reaction you'd never guess they finished next to last ! Maybe they are "untouchable !"

I think it is safe to say Zyrah Rose share my view of SC given they liked my tweet ! I wonder if Natalie Holt is free ? If SC likes spagbol I'm sure some could be thrown in his direction ! Let's see him get that out of his beard ! Anyway, back to the important stuff (!). Last night Beau Dermott became the first solo singer to win her semi-final outright and so go into the final. She got a standing ovation and certainly seems to have improved since her audition although it was a few months ago now ! It's hard to believe she's only 12. Her voice seems older but then I thought that about Faryl Smith who was the same age.

Hi all Thanks for all of the great posts about the current series of BGT...all week I've been watching the audition week videos from BGT's YouTube channel. I wish the show was on American cable TV like the X Factor UK is.

Right guys, I've seen the winner ! Her name is Jasmine Elcock and in last night's remaining semi-final she displayed a maturity and emotional depth way beyond her 14 years. Prepare to be moved ! At some point during the week I was hoping to see a horse act if only because watching Simon Cowell with a bucket and shovel clearing up afterwards would have been a sight for sore eyes. There was however a dog act called Trip Hazard. The dog is called Trip but he didn't if you see what I mean. Lucy and Trip finished third so go into the poll for the "wildcard" to qualify for the final. Apparently there have already been repeated calls to the voteline from one well-known dog owner and regular viewer. It's a "YES" from Liz ! One is amused !!
