That's amazing that they were there. Now, does it mean that Sarah composed new tunes for Hayley, or just that she composed the old songs. It's possible she could have helped with the new arrangements. I mean, she technically owns the songs, right? So she might have been involved in the new arrangements.

Well, I don't see any reports from HWI people who were there yet. And Paddy, were you really there, because I didn't bump into you. I did bump into Comet, Joyce, Grant, Martin, Gordon and several others most of who who were on the front row with me. For now all I will say is that Hayley is still Hayley, still awesome and I've come away with that old Hayley buzz that will last for a while I know. There is nobody else like her. I loved all her new songs, and the old ones too, some of which we haven't heard her perform for a while. It left me wondering how many different ways of singing Amazing Grace are there. Hayley came up with yet another, and it was brilliant (I'll admit I'm not too keen on the one with the bagpipes, but that was a long long time ago). And then there was Hayley's senior moment (well she is pushing 30!!). The good news is there weren't many empty seats, but two were on the font row, close to me. And the well deserved standing ovations and the off the cuff totally unexpected and unrehearsed second encore. A great night in a great city, full of lovely people who can't do enough to help you.. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of Hayley. Were I was on the front row was just too exposed, although I wouldn't be surprised if we see a few surface from further back. The two dresses she wore were both new of course. When I get time I'll try to write a report, if I'm not beaten to it as I probably will be since I have a lot of catching up to do. 23 Hours out of the country leaves a big hole you know.

Wonderful photo. Love Hayley's hair and pretty floral top. Very spring-y. Eimear Quinn was the winner of the Eurovision Song contest in 1996, singing The Voice, the one we know from CW. It was written by Brendan Graham (You Raise Me Up, Sleep On). Ironically, wikipedia says she has a daughter named Joelene! I can't figure out what she has to do with Hayley, Sarah, and George, though, since it says he brought them "all" together.

Martin D Can you elaborate on the so-called "senior moment"? I'm dying to know what that was. LOL She's only 29, and I'm 31, so what are you trying to say, Martin?? I saw a photo on Joyce's FB page, but if she won't post it, then I won't. I'm sure she's busy travelling back home. But anyway, it is a new dress. At first from the first photos of her farther away, I thought it was the same reddish dress she wore in Madison, but I don't think it is. It's similar in color and length, but that one did not have the black V-neckline. Rather, it was just a solid-colored dress, and it did not have a V-neck, or even a low-neck. It's been a while now, so every detail is no longer vivid, but I do remember that much. She also wore similar black nylons and black shoes, though I think the shoes might be different. I'm not positive about that, though.

Hi Libby,
The senior moment was when she started to talk about Sir George Martin, and his and his son Giles involvement in her first two (international) albums, and the song he wrote for her to introduce "Beat of Your Heart" after she had already sung it. She then realised her mistake and said "we've already done that".
As for the dresses, the one she wore in the first half was brown, made of fairly thin material, ankle length and slit to both thighs, with a black underskirt. In the second half she wore the one you describe, orange-red, with black tights and black high heeled shoes.
I felt that in some ways Hayley was going back to her roots (and it wasn't just the hair colour), but in others performing adventurous new stuff. It was certainly a wonderful show, which I thoroughly enjoyed, well worth the trials and tribulations of getting there by the skin of my teeth (courtesy of Ryanair - someone else I'm told was not so lucky and missed the show entirely and was only in time for the signing afterwards, again, courtesy of Ryanair), and the ridiculously expensive hotel room, which came with complimentary earplugs (which were needed), of which more anon.

Martin D Well, I saw you, as I sat on the arm of the couch directly adjacent to the one you were sitting on, just before the show, just outside the 'John Field Room'. And again, during the show, sitting beside Comet's wife. Paddy

Interesting that Sarah Class was there. She wrote "Across The Universe Of Time", which was on the original NZ edition of 'Pure', but omitted from the UK version to ensure it qualified for the classical charts. Richard

It was great to see everybody again at Dublin, not that I needed to be reminded, but I forgot how much I have missed seeing Hayley! A fantastic show, as always, and some great new songs. It was great to see Paddy, and Paul on their home turf, sorry, I didn't get to say goodbye at the end. It always fascinates me, that such a mix of people, from all over the World, meet up for the love of one thing, Hayley!. Here's to the next time! Mike

I would like to see the lyrics. It was wonderful to hear Who will echo my heart at last.
